Number 11 scored for Holy cross off a well placed free kick in the first half probably from about 20yrds out, I don't think the keeper was ready for it and was focusing on setting the wall. Morgan scored with about 6 minutes left in the second half to eaqalize. Then a free kick was awarded to Scott from near the corner area where Morgan sent in a ball to Wolf who headed it in the top corner for the late win. This happened with 52 seconds left in the game.

I caught part of this game and would say that it was fairly evenly played. What I didn't like about the game was that Scott appeared to only have 1 ball runner to cover the sidelines and he was very slow to get the ball back to players for throw ins and corners. This actually cost HC a corner kick before the half. CR blew the whistle while the HC player was standing at the corner for a ball. He had been there for a while waiting. You could see that both teams were frustrated with the whole ball runner thing.

 

Yellow cards - all in the second half Scott 3 or 4? HC 1 or 2? It also appears that the inmates are running the asylum at Scott. And, I say that because kids who were sent off for yellow cards didn't even go to the bench, they went right back to the center for the next substitution.

Over the past two or more seasons these sort of comments have been made by a lot of different BGP members regarding the Scott soccer program. Was there not a glaring, embarrassing examples of this during the State Championship game last year. How or why does the Scott AD, principle, supporters, or khsaa put up with this?

I do know after Morgan's yellow card, he sat on the bench and waited about 3-4 minutes before returning.

I do not know but he was not on the bench at the Scott/Holy Cross match Thursday night. Could it be that he received a suspension or worse for pulling his team off the field last weekend? Rumor has it that he resigned. Is that because of KHSAA pressure, AD pressure or personal reasons?

I'm sure that phone call was one sided. Probably will never hear the results but I wouldn't think it was good for the school and the coach. I know it's not the same players but it is the same coach.

State (KHSAA) gave Scott a choice in the matter.... if you want to call it that.... I believe the soccer program will now have a new varsity coach.

Just a couple days ago there were those saying I was attacking the program with some critical comments about how they play, how they conduct themselves, the things the coach allows, etc. and trying to impose how I thought they should run a team/program. The state was evidently of the same opinion if these rumors are true. And I wouldn't assume this program was being run any differently than some of the parents wanted over there. The yellow card situation described above in the HC/Scott game is a good example. Get a card, come out and get a drink and go right back in the game. Gotta keep those stats up.....

you were not taking a shot at the program, you were taking a shot at a player, and there were plenty of non Scott affiliated people that saw that. You can step off your high horse now and see things a little clearer
