As for the coaching situation i have not seen one accurate comment, and anyways that is between the coach and the school. And no, this decision was in no way forced on the coach. The coach made the decision that he felt that was best for the program given the circumstances at hand. ( as he always has )

Whatever the situation.......it is tough for any program to have to deal with this kind of change mid season.....

 

Good luck to the players going through this......hopefully the Seniors will step up and continue the good reports we have been hearing of this year......

 

Make your legacy be we were involved in moving the program forward, and with everything you do, be an example and leave things better for those coming after.....

Of course, you probably don't have to deal with the whining soccer moms on the football/basketball/baseball threads so maybe us soccer people should spend more time on those threads.

You're 100% correct, but the probability of a "train wreck" is the only reason for me to venture into this forum because it seems every other thread in this forum has one, opposed to all the others.

Whenever the "vicarious" parent gets involved, a "train wreck" is sure to follow.

 

One could argue that whenever grown adults start talking about and/or picking apart high school children in a very public forum, a "train wreck" is sure to follow.

 

And unfortunately, that happens everywhere.

IMO, groinpull's question is very legit. How many HS soccer coaches quit, voluntarily or otherwise midseason?

 

And if the Scott coach quit because he feels it's the " best decision for the program", please explain the timing. Would it have not made much more sense to do this after last year's State Championship match? Clearly the events in that game caused a great deal of embarrassment to the school and program.
