  1. One could argue that whenever grown adults start talking about and/or picking apart high school children in a very public forum, a "train wreck" is sure to follow. And unfortunately, that happens everywhere.
  2. You've mentioned this about a million times now. Only ONE person had made this claim consistently and yet you still harp on it. We get it - you don't like NCC. You will find reasons to attack them. That's great. I hope it makes you feel better about yourself. But this constant belittling about "conditioning" is ridiculous. Can you just let it go, or will the complex prevail?
  3. But I'm not speaking on authority, either. Brossart may not have funds, for all I know. They've had a massive budget crises for the last two years. Major staffing cuts caused by declining enrollment. I'd be surprised if they have cash for such a project. Very surprised.
  4. Some commitments are long term and most projects go over on cost. Every school building project over the last 15 years has caused debt, many in the millions.
  5. You can't spend a lot of money when you're still carrying debt from a prior project. When the debt's paid, you're good to build if you have all the cash.
  6. As a former teacher at an elementary school, this conversation is so eerily similar to what we often see on the playground between a bunch of middle school kids. Grow up, folks. This is high school soccer. Some of us come here to get information and remain up to date. It's sad that we're also subjected to this silly bickering and ridiculousness. I'll say it again, grow up.
  7. Oh yeah... Well, my dad can beat up your dad!
  8. You know this is high school soccer, right? This soccer forum, especially when certain schools are involved, is message board filled with adults bashing high school kids, living vicariously through them, and against them, so as to achieve a sense of fulfillment, and diminishing efforts and accomplishments of those in a fragile state. It's sad that moderators allow talk like this to continue...
  9. That's not saying much. No knock on NKU...they're trying to get more students/fans at the games, but it's been an uphill battle.
  10. You forgot Newport... 1970 25,998 −13.5% 1980 21,587 −17.0% 1990 18,871 −12.6% 2000 17,048 −9.7% 2010 15,273 −10.4%
  11. Nice attempt, but a failed one. Look at every other school's demographics and enrollment trends. Look at local populations within each district. You have to look at all the data before making assumptions and conclusions or you end up looking like a fool or being exposed for your agenda. You picked two pieces of data and made a large conclusion about causality. If you went to NCC, you would learn that's not proper logic. CovCath is a great school and they're doing some great things, so people will continue to look to them as an educational option. NCC is great as well. NCC is in a location that is getting hammered with population loss. They have the smallest district, by FAR, of any other Catholic high school. They have lost students, and there may be a reason, but neither you nor I know those reasons. So stop making silly assumptions because you have an agenda. We see it for what it is.
  12. NCC enrolls over 90% of 8th graders from their district schools. Last year alone, there were 84 8th graders in NCC's district. Freshman enrollment is over 90. They surpass their total district numbers every year. So you might want to get your facts straight before displaying your silliness.
  13. The game was moved because the track is not yet complete at Newport. We were aware of this issue a month or so ago and asked Scott if it could be played there. It's never good to lose a home game, but Scott is being very understanding. The move had nothing to do with Newport wanting to play there first or with the past lawsuit.
  14. Before you make all kind of judgments on this coaching change and "NCC parents", might you first consider whether you're assumptions are correct in that he got "ran off by parents?" I would argue your assumption is entirely incorrect. Consider that, for a second.
