I have no idea but I wonder if the program was put on warning after last season . A kind of "double secret probation" because going to straight removal or no post season play without warnings seems excessive.

 

However.....and I can't say this too often, it also leads me to believe that it was the coaches actions of pulling the team and not reflecting on the players actions, like in previous years. Examples of the changes have been noted in prior posts....

It was not KHSAA that removed the coach.

Sorry, I was under the impression khsaa provided an altamatum

 

My main point was that the players seemed to have it under control this year and the "last straw" so to speak was a coaches action.

I have heard strong rumors from multiple sources that he was forced out by the school. After a very bad meeting with the AD and a player and parent duo. I also heard it was after keeper CJ Seays card against their opponent. I have heard this from parents and people high up on the Scott athletics totem pole. It seems very odd that a coach that led a team to the state championship and had a very successful season thus far would just "resign". He was most likely forced out.
