St. Henry 2 Trinity 2

Featured Replies

Final from Erlanger.

Surprised to see this score, I got word that St Henry had a 2-0 lead late in the match.

Anyone have details?

Cru up 2-0 with 3 minutes remaining in the match. Trinity player was fouled in the box, and makes the PK.

Now it's 2-1 Cru. Clock stopped at 2 min.

Darn, throwing away a lead like that against Trinity. That has to hurt.

That ref was stupid and handed the game to trinity

Trinity is scrappy and really needs to clean up their act

Wow that's deep...

So was the PK a bad call?

What about the second goal, was this handed to them by the ref?

Agreed. That was a pretty bold statement for so little detail. Seems like the ref would have had a lot of work to do in the last three minutes.

Glad to see that alternate universes do exist.

So, nobody has details on this game? Who scored?

It's kinda hard to give details when clearly many people didn't watch the same match. Yes, Trinity played less than desirably. Yes, St Henry played a spirited scrappy game. Two mis-communications between the keeper and the backs created scoring opportunities that the Cru capitalized on. Clearly a PK opportunity, nice 2nd goal by Drew Goetz to knot the match before the end of regulation. Yes the officiating was abysmal. As far as Trinity playing "scrappy and cleaning up their act"??? Hmmm, ask the St. Henry trainer if he thought he was running a MASH unit or triage area behind the Trinity bench? Hate these pointless boards, but I couldn't resist. It's too bad we don't have video playback to illustrate the points. Have a great day everybody!

Oh I guarantee there is video. It will never come forward though because no one is willing to be judged when it comes to soccer.

This sentence is reflective of so many game summaries. It hard to get a feel for most games from reading these post. Most summaries are very, very one sided. Like asking someone if a certain movie or restaurant is good, rarely a good indicator. Most times these summaries do not give a true picture of the game.

On the other hand there are some people on here that post very good reviews of the games no matter what side of the field they sat on. Reading post from games you actually saw in person give you a good idea of which person on here provides a true review Vs the many that give a very one sided review.

When your team is up 2-1, with less than a minute to go, and the opposing team has a throw in, ALL players must get back on defense and mark up.
