Why was it a harsh red?

Soccerama 2018
The SK coach is the one that caused the issue last year, at Dixie. A lot of teams choose to use Dixie’s field to “host” due to the convenience. I believe they are getting new turf though.

Soccerama 2018
How does playing in the outfield of a baseball/softball field, where they have to rechalk the lines and shrink the field, make it so they have “THEIR OWN facilities”(your words not mine)? The field was turf before they had soccer and for a long time. That’s all on football or whoever wanted it changed. Don’t go blaming soccer at all for the loss of the grass field. The fact that when it was redone they now put soccer lines on it only makes sense at the time they had just added a girls and boys program. As well as they are now taking in money when the USSF teams come and rent it. So go shed your tears somewhere else. You can call it whatever you want but in the modern world we may not have gotten an official title 9 complaint yet but beechwood could see the writing on the wall. Soccer was coming whether they wanted it or not. I think it’s plain to see the answer to their preference though.

I would HIGHLY doubt it frankly. If it were that easy then schools wouldn’t have the issues getting the normal season night games covered. The likelihood that people are willing to come officiate a showcase event for free on a Friday afternoon is slim to none. (I know they used to not get paid, or sure if that is still true)

You’re making a bad assumption in thinking the same officials that do Spring USSF soccer also do high school. The pool of officials for USSF is vastly larger than with high school and more tempting to do with the higher pay.
-
Soccerama 2018
Probably because this is an actual game which requires officials. And last I checked I doubt any of them are using high school soccer as their full time job. So they have to have the games after people get off work during the week.

Soccerama 2018
I’m sure everyone appreciates the true unbridled sacrifice the football team would need to make in order to either cut practice early for one day, or god forbid practice at a different time since school isn’t even in session right now which gives them ANY other time of the day except when soccer needs the actual game field so they can hold a region wide event to help them raise money for a startup program in its early years. Truly the football team is magnanimous in their generosity for allowing the soccer team to play games on their own field at any time.

Indeed, one has to wonder why the baseball outfield is good enough to play full varsity soccer matches but somehow can’t cut it for pointy ball practice.

Soccerama 2018
But it does. The host school reaps the revenue from the event. It’s a neutral site but a host benefit.

U13 Girls Youth Soccer Team
Good luck to them, but I just looked at the past results and that California team must be really good.

What “right” is it you speak of? It’s a multipurpose field, and he has no right over any other. It’s classic Beechwood politics, for all the good that school has going for it, they are incredibly unequal with how they treat sports. As a public school eventually they are going to get in deep trouble for that. I suspect that is the only reason the new field was forced to put soccer lines down. If football had gotten their way it wouldn’t have had them.

It’s should be even simpler than that. Games>practice. End of story. Teams wanting to preactice need to be off the field 30 min prior to game time. To not do so should incur fines from khsaa.

Could Girls Season Move to Spring?
How has the split affected recruiting in the states that already split the seasons?
-
Could Girls Season Move to Spring?
From the refs I have had the chance to talk to the KHSAA does a poor job of supporting officials in almost any way. Making it increasingly cumbersome to be a high school Referee. Particularly with soccer. Someone told me they have restrictions on jersey brands they can buy so those that do Ussf and high school have to own two sets of shirts. What sense does that make?

Could Girls Season Move to Spring?
Is that like he was adamant that teams and referees should not shake hands after matches too? ?

New Highlands Girls Coach for 2018 Season
Apparently it’s the worst kept secret in NKy as to why he was fired. I don’t know personally because I have no ties to the program but plenty of people say it’s “not appropriate” so it’s not like it’s classified government intel.

New Highlands Girls Coach for 2018 Season
This is speculation but if you go back and read previous forums there was some displeasure from the parents for a few years. That on top of whatever happened at the end of last season in the St Henry game may have been the final straw.

Can they not be both?

Which is what creates rumors.

St. Henry 1 Highlands 0
I’ve been asking that for a few years. There are a lot of hints thrown around but no one has come out and said what the gripe is.

Wow, can’t believe I earned a dislike for that one.

Wow. Good example to set for players with that one.

Should the state tournament be seeded?
No kidding. Would love to see the looks on some of the owners faces when you tell them their team isn’t top tier pro anymore because they suck.
-
Should the state tournament be seeded?
But what sense does it make to only do two classes like some of those sports and have Single A, and then everyone else. Like I said this only benefits the smallest of schools, all the others get nothing. I’m not opposed to some form of classes, but single A schools are not the only ones that have some sort of disadvantage stopping them from winning a state title. Where does it stop.

Should the state tournament be seeded?
So how do you account for the schools with the larger populations that can’t win a darn thing. Dixie is one the largest schoools in nky. They have one team state title to their name. And yet they get whooped by much smaller schools on a regular basis. Who are you really helping here? The smaller schools that already compete regularly? Or are you just further isolating and hurting the larger schools that can’t compete.
