1979 was the last time Atherton finished the season without a losing record. They finished 5-5 that year. Won 5 games 78,77 and 1976 was the last time Atherton fished with a winning record with a 6-5 record. 1974 was the last time they 4 games in a roll. 1973 was the rebel’s best record went 9-1 that year with the school’s only win over ST.X. 21-13 . Lost 6-0 that year to Central in a monsoon. I grew up in the locker room of Atherton and always pulling for the rebels. Don’t know what the campus looks like now but back then fall football football with squirrels running wild was one of my favorite memories. Go Rebels!!

Same story as last week for Trigg can’t stop the run and just wore down by mid second quarter. Best receiver and DB #13 Bridges goes out with a shoulder injury early in the 1st quarter really hurt the Wildcats on both sides of the ball. Congratulations to Paducah on a well played game. Trigg needs to get healthy and find a way to stop the run.

Last week he was 6/8 for 167 yards and 3 TD’s. Scored for 4 TD’s in 6 plays. I feel for Ballard they play Madisonville this week with Mayfield coming up. Think their down to 20 some players.. Tuff gig for anyone.

Don't see a blowout here. County's strength is it's run defense and really hasn't play that bad all season on that side of the ball. I expect a low scoring game much like last year without the rain.

Hoptown will get their best player back on defense in a couple of weeks Lb’er Grubbs will make them even better of a team. He’s been their leader and the heart beat of their team.

My dad coached with him at Lloyd when they won the State Title. He was a great Christian man who loved the game of football. Sad to hear this.

I’ve always thought one day Holmes would be a handful with the amount of potential athletes in that area. Is a basketball school or did the athletes not there anymore? When I use to live in Northern KY they seem to have a boat load of good looking kids.

Muhlenberg is far from a 6A powerhouse but did look to be the better team when they scrimmage Warren Central so it was a nice road win for a 3A school. Trigg is trying to change their mind set and expect to win when they step on the field. You do that by playing hard on every snap and doing the little things that not many notices. Getting a swag in your step is important. Honestly I’m surprise of the score thought it could be a tight game.
