I saw where this was first time in 30 years that Atherton has won 4 games in a row. Congrats to them getting program turned around!

After so many bad years it is great to see Atherton fielding competitive teams most every night and every season. They won 3 games in 2016, 5 in 2017, 4 in 2018, and now are 4-2 this season. Those numbers aren't huge in the eyes of many, but this is a program that went 26-217 from 1990-2013. Seeing any success is awesome and here's hoping there are even more wins in the future.

1979 was the last time Atherton finished the season without a losing record. They finished 5-5 that year.

Won 5 games 78,77 and 1976 was the last time Atherton fished with a winning record with a 6-5 record.

1974 was the last time they 4 games in a roll.

1973 was the rebel’s best record went 9-1 that year with the school’s only win over ST.X. 21-13 . Lost 6-0 that year to Central in a monsoon.

I grew up in the locker room of Atherton and always pulling for the rebels. Don’t know what the campus looks like now but back then fall football football with squirrels running wild was one of my favorite memories.
