gchs_uk9
Seeing some talk on Twitter that tonight’s Todd County Central game at Fort Knox was canceled due to no officials. Some Todd folks were calling it a forfeit win while the KHSAA has it as canceled. Fort Knox tweeted earlier they were debuting new uniforms tonight so clearly they were ready to play. Who’s fault is this? Were they not assigned? Why isn’t the home team checking up on officials/preparing game checks, etc. prior to the contest? Lots of questions here. Tigerpride94
They should have played a scrimmage format so teams could have at least got something out of the situation. Very strange so interested in seeing what happened.

16thBBall Fan
The host school should have received an email confirming the officials and payment info the day before or the day of the game. Either the host school dropped the ball or the assignor messed up. If the assignor screwed up the officials association show pay for Todd County’s travel cost. If a school cancels a game and don’t notify the officials and they show up they are required to pay the game fee.
TheDeuce
I find it hard to believe that whatever association covers that area couldn't come up with five officials, even on short notice.

I don’t think a shortage was the problem. Someone didn’t double check. Not sure which one is to blame.

The schools through their policy board pick the assignees, the officials association is only small dues paid by the officials themselves. How on earth are they to blame if the assigner didn’t schedule anyone?

If schools don’t notify the assignor and officials show the school has to still pay them. I know the assignor is chosen by the schools in each area and if he was at fault at this his job should be re-examined. In today’s technology this should not have happened someone should be held accountable.

Someone didn’t double check somewhere.

I agree both were at fault for allowing Todd Co. Cent. to travel there and not have a game.
