Rest in peace, Coach. Heck of a career. That's a LOT of lives impacted through yours, and your children as well.

My dad coached with him at Lloyd when they won the State Title. He was a great Christian man who loved the game of football. Sad to hear this.

We faced Coach Lucas’s Newport Teams at Mason County. Those were tough, hard-nosed, good football teams and players. The Lucas’s are a wonderful football family. God Bless them and thank you for sharing a great man and coach with all of us.

My brother @Sweeperboy was recruited and played QB for Coach Lucas at West Virgina Tech out of Highlands In 1982. Coach Lucas left after his Freshman year for Greenup Co. What a great Coach and even a better Man he was. RIP Coach!

So very sad to hear this. Great man with a Great Family.

Sad news. My brother played for Coach Lucas at West Virginia Tech before moving on to Miami OH. Coach Lucas gave him an opportunity to prove himself at the college level and he was always thankful for that. There recently was a get together here in Cincinnati where many of Coach Lucas' players were able to visit with him. It was very nice they and he had that opportunity to say visit, share stories and say thanks in person before his passing. There was an article in the Enquirer about that event. RIP Coach Lucas.

RIP Coach Lucas.

What a great, kind and wonderful man! Sympathy to Coach Lucas’ family.
