Man Spaulding is playing with so much confidence it's getting silly.. Since the UK game he has been the best player on the court. Really like this team's Chemestry. No sulking or negative vibes from the bench from what I observing. 2nd place in the ACC right now pretty impressive job by David P.. Who knows by the end of the year he might be up for coach of the year in the ACC..😉

I like the lineup of Snider, McMahon, Mahmound, Spalding and Adel late in the game. I've been hard on Spalding over the last couple of years but last night was the first time I can say he wanted the ball and I wanted him to get the ball during clutch time. He looked confident. Got love McMahon baby face killer. I don't care if he gets burt sometimes on the D end he knows how to win period.

During course of the year I tried to watch/gather as much tape as possible on Catholic hoping Christian would make that far. BG has had some really good teams in the last 5-7 years but this CovCath team migh be on a different level. Fast, athletic with good size and plays aggressive. They take the fight out of you early. SW is battle tested and Smith has his players believing they can win but this is fight they haven't been part of yet. How will they respond when they ge punched n he nose early? Im pulling for any WKY team and hope they can somehow pull this out. Going to need some turnovers, drop balls and some good luck bounces to go their way. This is the best team CovCath has played since early in the year. Good luck to both teams should be a good physical game to watch.

Peters is a big time receiver him and number 11 for Graves are the two best receivers in WKY.. Also I heard Apollo will be without one of their better skill players for getting toss out of the game last week. Pulling for Apollo but this definitely be a closer game now than it would have been 3 weeks ago..

Well Christian County had their own turnovers also. Fumbled the opening kickoff. Fumbled the first play of the second half, fumbled coupled of times in the shotgun but recovered them the one 4th down killed a good drive. Several drops and missing wide open receivers. So they did a lot also to hurt themselves also. RB McNeal had around 200 yards all purpose yards and Langhi threw for 2 TD's. Not positive on total yards for the game but believe County had significant more yards.. Paducah played hard and has had several games like this where they could have easily won like against Graves, Caldwell and Hopkinsville. Somehow some way County has find ways to win close games this being another case. First time in school history to got undefeated. Good gritty bunch of kids who don't quit. Paducah will be handful for anybody in the playoffs. Athletes all over the field for sure. Good luck to them played with heart and class.

Sinbad showing my age here but the year was 1973 Atherton won 21-13 I believe. What I remember most of all was the coaching staff told the kids if they beat X the coaches would do the dead cockroach dance in the middle of the field. They did it and was epic. In 1975 Atherton had a really good team and lost to 10-14 to X and Trinity 0-6. The last team at Atherton that had a winning record was 1976.. Atherton was hit hard during the busing era. I remember their coach saying he lost 14 starters the day it all started. It went by kids last names did not matter where they lived. Some of the players lived within seeing distance of the school but could no longer go there. It killed football and still has no recovered.

I would love to see Atherton get over the hump. I grew up watching Atherton play in the mid 70's and still to this day have Atherton shirts and old Jerseys. I was there when Atherton beat ST. X one of my first memories I can recall.

I think when Owensbore gets their 2 players back on defense you will see a big difference. I like what they do offensively it's hard to prepare for and teams just don't see that style anymore. 5 is just a big time player. This is a very dangerous team if they don't push the panic button.. Good luck to the Red Devils.

I total agree with everything you said purple 88.. Don't think Christian has played their best ball this season. Will they this week guess we have to wait and see. Owensbore is tuff as nails on both sides of the ball. Big tuff Oline men who will chop you down with cut blocks, big fullbacks and speedy QB's and running backs. If 5 gets daylight he can take to the house. Defensively they run to ball as good as anybody around and play a aggressively style of D. In the past couple of years I thought County may have peek too early at times well that's not been a problem this season lol. I will say this I think at first look the schedule couple be miss leading, coach Lovelace is known to play any good teams in KY or in Tennessee. Caldwell most likely won't lose again till they play Mayfield, Rossview has not lost since and man handled Clarksville NE who beat McCracken. Rossview is a 6A school who had more athletes then Christian has several potential D1 players they say. Henderson is not walk in the park either and Hoptown might make a serious run in 4A. I think they will make it to the semis.. Anyways Friday should be fun and telling but Graves and Apollo has a shot also. So now it begins!!

Rossview might be the Christian best win so far. Rossview handily defeated Clarksville NE a team that beat McCracken. Preseason is over what counts know is how they play from here on out..

Should be a great game for sure. All eyes in 5A will be watching this game. 5A seems to be more competitive and balance it has been since 2010 or so with the addition of South Warren and the improve play of Greenwood. As the man said," BG is still king of the hill" till someone knocks em off.

Wasn't pretty but it is a win on the road. knew going into this game Henderson was much improve and would be stiff test for the Colonels. They will win more games this season than they have had the past two years. QB is one tuff sucker who looks like and runs like a college fullback who throws just well enough to keep you honest. They play one heck of a team next Friday and need to stay healthy and get ready for their district play. I think they could possible get a one seed this season. Christian needs to get a healthy pill had 3 starting Olinemen out with injuries and sickness made running the ball difficult. Like the way Diion Leavelle and McNeal are running but just was wasn't many open lanes for em last night and when it was penalites neglected it. Receivers Ellis Dunn and Ja'Quon Long had a good games last night. Laghi take away one bad decision played well. 18-27 for around 220 yards completed passes to 8 different receivers. The colonels got one more game and then a much needed bye week to get ready for district play. I like this team and the defense is playing extremely hard. Young in some spots with growing pains but should be able to peek at the right time. Corey Trice might get some serious consideration for Mr. Football. Has not given up one pass n 3 games in his area. Two returns for touchdowns and one called back. Doesn't play much offense yet so he won't have crazy numbers but he dominates his position.
