Tough to lose this game as a Tilghman fan. Tilghman controlled this game the first 3 quarters. As was the case so many times this year, turnovers changed it all.

 

I know we had at least 6, several deep in Colonel territory. There were a lot of points left on the field for Tilghman. Back to back turnovers, one which was returned for 6 and the other inside the 30 gave Christian all they needed.

 

Just a couple plays make this go from for sure winning the game to going completely the other direction. Tilghman's defense played oustanding.

 

I know this game doesn't mean much in the grand scheme, but was a good measuring stick. We've got a few things to change around. I think we will be a tough out in the playoffs.

Absolutely did. Also not taking away from Christian's defense, it's as legit as they come. There were just too many unforced errors on our part, something we were doing much better at.

Well Christian County had their own turnovers also. Fumbled the opening kickoff. Fumbled the first play of the second half, fumbled coupled of times in the shotgun but recovered them the one 4th down killed a good drive. Several drops and missing wide open receivers. So they did a lot also to hurt themselves also. RB McNeal had around 200 yards all purpose yards and Langhi threw for 2 TD's. Not positive on total yards for the game but believe County had significant more yards.. Paducah played hard and has had several games like this where they could have easily won like against Graves, Caldwell and Hopkinsville. Somehow some way County has find ways to win close games this being another case. First time in school history to got undefeated. Good gritty bunch of kids who don't quit. Paducah will be handful for anybody in the playoffs. Athletes all over the field for sure. Good luck to them played with heart and class.

Counting up number of athletes, talking just sheer size, speed, and physical prowess, I say PT has as many of them as any team Mayfield has played. I still wouldn't be surprised to see those pieces come together and PT make some noise in the playoffs.
