Mclean will be a very solid 3A team in WKY.. Always thought coach Wagner gets the most out of his teams and improves as the season goes along. Speed is always an issue be interesting how fast they really are.

Laser times can be misleading as is the stop watch. If your athlete has not practice the proper technique they can lose time simply by moving the hand before the back foot moves with the laser.

I'm hearing Scotty Vance OC at Apollo could be the next coach. He's also one of the top baseball coaches around be interesting would he do both since the baseball job is also open.

Paducah enrollment is 842 think they will move up to 4A with old time district rivals Hoptown.

Not sure Henderson can deal with the over all team speed of Male but this does seem like best chance a 6A team in WKY could make some noise in the playoffs. Like to see it but don’t expect it.

I think PT going win and surprise everyone sort of like last year. Lovelace has the defense playing at a high level and more importantly has a healthy unit ready for this game. Paducah offensive played their best game of the season at the right time. Getting their main back injured strangely helped them in the long run now they have two backs who can be effective and opens up the passing game. Tuff task going on the road again but they seem to play their best when folks count them out.

I grew up on Atherton's campus. I always look to see if they won every Friday night. It’s great to see them being successful. I was on the sideline no bigger than knee high when they beat ST. X in “73”. They also beat Flaget and Male that same year finishing 9-1.

Agree with Tkinslow said above, Hart is a good 3A team but Union is top 5 in 3A team. Their very good against the run with a solid LB’er core which is also Hart’s strength. To beat Union you have to have success throwing the ball being balance. Don’t think Hart can score in the high 30’s to win this game. #23 for Union is a legit 1st team all- state on either side of the ball. He will be the difference maker.

Great game.. QB Jacob Wease played one of the gusty games a kid could play. Kid has a 3 degree separate on his throwing shoulder three weeks ago played well enough to win most games. The int at the end hit the Wr in the chest then bounce of his hands and defender made a great diving catch. Just a tuff break for the wildcats. Trigg also a touchdown called back due to inverted wrestle that the ref just blew it when the dLine caught a fumble n mid air and scored.

Most frustrating game I’ve seen in a long time. Trigg gets 20 penalties for 176 yards after averaging under 50 all season. Wease was 12-15 for around 240 yards in 3 possessions before hurting his shoulder. Back to drawing board for Trigg got come up with a way to play with a Union.

Wow that’s a full staff of coaches at any level. Most cost a fortune to dress that many but don’t think that’s problem lol.

Agree they beat Christian County that year who won the 4A state championship. After getting beat by Highlands in the Rec Bowl they won every game pretty handily lead by Jerry Reese who’s probably the best NG in KY high school history.

Going be a great game. I’m taking Paducah 28 Union 18. Just think Paducah defense will be the difference.

Congratulations to Paducah their defense is really big and fast. Trigg had their chances dropped 6/7 balls tonight one for a TD that could had made the game more competitive in the 2nd half. Got make those plays. Paducah’s QB played well and # 4 backup RB is pretty darn good.

Maybe but this is first time in a while they have been this competitive or this good in sometime. Give them a little break maybe they will up schedule in a year or so.

Bluegrasspreps rankings is the only legit rankings that matter and Trigg is not ranked hard to be overrated if your not ranked. Trigg beat Larue with a similar score as #3 Bardstown. Folks at Trigg know that Paducah is heavily favorite. They got a championship defense that would be top 5 in any classification. Their offensive is explosive and will get better from this point on. Players and coaches are too good. They have played some really good defensive teams. Can the wildcats play with Paducah we will find out this Friday should be a fun game to watch.

South Warren is Boyle county in the west. I don’t see anyone in 3A hanging with them. Their just that good. It’s testament to Paducah defense after the picks that kept it from a running clock. Both Paducah and Mayfield will have a descent chance to make a good run.

Biggest upset in 3A this season!
