Warren East 56 Warren Central 20

Final.
Raiders move to 7-0.
Dragons are now 3-3.

I’m convinced that Warren East is a team to be reckoned with in 4A.

Putting it out there now… the Raiders will be playing in late November for a chance at something special!

What are there chances against a team like Boyle though?

WE QB is a monster. Kid was phenomenal as was WR Price!

So far the teams that Warren East has beat have a record of 9-31.  I am going to go out on a limb and say that when they run into a team that has played a good schedule they will struggle.  When would they have to see Logan Co in the playoffs?  That is where the party will end I believe.

I take it from this post you haven't seen Warren East play.

Logan County is in the exact same boat, with opponents W-L being 15-23. And it is only that good because of Greenwood, which is a game they lost. I watched first hand Logan have a very hard time with ACS who, to put it lightly, has struggled this year. Lost to the same Warren Central team that East just blasted.

But for what it's worth, they wouldn't see Logan to likely the fourth round, and that is if Logan can handle a team like Louisville Central or Franklin County in the third. That's where their party ends.

Logan may have lost to Greenwood but they still played them.  They also still have South Warren on the schedule as well.  Playing those types of teams win or lose make you better.  I'm not saying Warren East is terrible but that schedule isn't helping them get better.

Maybe but this is first time in a while they have been this competitive or this good in sometime. Give them a little break maybe they will up schedule in a year or so.

Even though they lost, is anyone else besides me happy for the kids at Warren Central, regardless of who it is that they beat, that they can say their record is .500 over half way into the season?

I would say not good at all. I think it's easy to underestimate how important culture and sustained success is in HS football. Warren East is having a great year, but they are not on Boyle's level yet. If they can string a few consecutive seasons like this and begin to schedule tougher teams during then maybe you could start seriously wondering about Boyle, Central, Johnson Central, Corbin, etc.

Logan was handling Allen easily until their Qb/SS  went down in the first half. He didn’t play the rest of the game and it showed. I think Logan makes it out of these two districts, they are loaded with seniors that have experience in big games.

Congratulations to Warren East on a great season. It has been one to remember, however the big 3 of 4A is Boyle, JC, and Corbin. I don’t think anyone else is close.

I wouldn’t put Corbin in that conversation with Boyle and JC. Boyle won back to back. JC won in 2019. Corbins not won it all since 1982.
