Trigg County (6-0) at Paducah Tilghman (2-3)

Trigg comes into this game 6-0 for the first time since 2007 and have an offense that can really move the ball. They average 45.66 points per game led by Qb Jacob Wease, who throws it all over the field. Trigg also averages close to 200 yards a game on the ground as well. On defense, they allow 26 p.p.g.

Tilghman is only averaging 21.8 points per game while allowing 20.6 points. PT also has some injury concerns and will have to see about the availability of Malachi Rider, Nick Fox and Oscar Adams, all key players for the Tornado. 

Thus far, Tilghman has played a much tougher schedule, starting 2-3 for the 2nd consecutive season, but this Trigg team does look like it can present some problems for the Tilghman defense, particularly in the secondary. 

Tilghman is 13-0 against Trigg since they made the move to 3A in 2011. Will this be the year?

 

 

 

 

PT should win, but without rider that really hurts. Tilghman has definitely played a harder schedule. I assume Trigg has some great speed which can win games.

If Tilghman loses this game they should just go ahead and turn there Helmets in monday morning.  Cause they are completely out of the discussion as a title contender if they lose this game.  Sorry, but Trigg is overrated.  Now i can't wait till oct 14 cause Union Co looks to be pretty dang good.  Maybe even the best team west of Bowling Green, and Owensboro.  Hard to say at this point though.

Bluegrasspreps rankings is the only legit rankings that matter and Trigg is not ranked hard to be overrated if your not ranked. Trigg beat Larue with a similar score as #3 Bardstown.  Folks at Trigg know that Paducah is heavily favorite. They got a championship defense that would be top 5 in any classification.  Their offensive is explosive and will get better from this point on. Players and coaches are too good. They have played some really good defensive teams. Can the wildcats play with Paducah we will find out this Friday should be a fun game to watch. 

I’m sure Tilghman will get the win and Trigg will come crashing down to earth.

I watched the film of the Trigg/Larue game, and it would be hard for me to believe that PT would lose this one.  However, not having Rider may throw a wrench in the works.

Last I heard, Malachi Rider will be out at least 4 weeks for Tilghman due to the injury in the Henderson game. PT will have to rely heavily on Jordauyn White while he is out. Beyond White, they'll have to go with the committee approach.
