Caldwell has 9 starters back on defense with 2 really good corners. The Riley brothers are very talented. QB is back and he played very well last season. Question mark will be offensive line where they lost some good players.. I don't think you will see a drop off they have young talent sophomore's who can really play.

I'm glad your a Kenner fan he is a very good player but 1 player does not make a team. Christian County has looked improved in the passing game and in pass defense in 7 on 7's. Ask Mayfield who played em this past Tuesday. Their JV unit won Mcracken County passing tournament this pass Saturday against some good teams which shows they have some good depth. Varsity team did not play but have competed/practice against area teams and have done extremely well. Yes their schedule is tuff it always is but I believe the biggest difference one will notice with this year's team is improvement upfront on both sides of the ball. Won't take long to see where County stands they scrimmage Paducah and play Caldwell and BG in the first two weeks.

Lossing A player like Kenner hurts but the cup board is far from empty. County still has Catlett one of the best WR in the state should finish his career top 5 all time receiving yards in KY history, Kenneth Majors who played well at WR last year and just comitt to WKY yesterday, Big Play Ray James who was just behind Kenner in receiving yards and TD'S, 6'4 Corry Trice who is the hidden gem and is getting a lot of attention from D1 schools of late and 3 year starter Jaquan Long. Not to mention Traequan Taylor who averaged 7 yards a carry and had well over 100 receiving out of the backfield.. I think they will be ok..

I do like Graves QB think he will be outstanding for the next several years to come but before Graves gets to BG they have to go threw Owensboro and Christian County.

sophomore highlight - Kolbe Langhi highlights - Hudl Kolby Langhi has passed for over 5,000 yards during his freshmen and Sophmore seasons.

Sr. WR Keyron Catlett becomes WKY first commit of 2017. He chose the Hilltopers over offers from Arkansas State, Eastern KY, FCS and Austin Pea. Keyron is a super great kid who has a great attitude and work ethic. Entering his senior season Keyron has 2,758 career yards. Catlett will be joining former teammate DB Devon Wharton at WKY who miss his high school senior season due to a neck injury.

Ok how about fall break during football season?

Christian County has to get better upfront on both sides of the ball to get where they need to be. Two years ago County's offense started 6 freshmen and 3 Sophomore's while playing two teams in Tennessee who made the state finials. So there is no more excuses of being young. Offensive line returns 3 starters including Courier Journal All-Stater Ross Whipple. Catlett will be faster and bigger than last year and should have a monster year. He should finish his career in the top 5 of all time in catching yards and total number of catches in KY high school history. RB/Slot Ziyon Kenner probably has the most upside of all County's players. As a Sophomore he had over 1,500 total yards of offense. He's been recruited by several big time programs and will be one of the fastest players in the state. He's already gain about 10 pounds of muscle mass. Langhi has had a terrify off season dropping basketball and baseball to concentrate on getting better. He's body looks stronger and has really increase his foot speed. I look for big improvements on Defense with the majority of players coming back. County's defense played well in the 2nd half against BG and will try to grow from there. DB Kenneth Majors & Corey trice will lead a very good defensive back field and look to see Catlett and Kenner playing more defense than last year. I know defense has been a point of interest in the offseason and I look for big time improvements.

Craft had 4 hits tonight 3 of em were doubles and 7 RBI's against Trigg.

Underrated is Dixon Craft.. Solid on the mound and one of the regions top hitters. Also like Tyler Estes fast as a cat and solid overall game.

In WKY I saw two kids who I would call studs! Dee Cain and the DE from Murray. Thought both BG and Owensboro had 4/5 kids a piece who could play at the D2 level(Murray State types). BG had a O-lineman that could play big-time if redshirted and had patience to wait till his junior year or so. He had good size and decent foot speed.

It probably won't effect them but it's still wrong to go against your word.

Craft earned his scholarship by attending their summer camp this past summer. In front of the entire camp he out punted the entire 8/9 punters they had attending the camp. Craft had 7 straight punts in the air over 55 yard and was offered on the spot by the APSU head coach. Don't have a problem with a new coach pulling an offer but when they promise nothing has changed now we have an issue.. Don't see Christian County going to APSU camp's again or anything else associated with their program.
