BohonBrawler Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Marion County began the process of filling this vacancy? If so, who are they looking at taking it? Still shocked that it's open.
KingOfClutch33 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 They do not have the vacant position listed on their website which tells me they probably already have their guy!
sportsfan08 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I would disagree and think they're not in a big hurry.
Tall Trees Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 What happened to the guy they had? Thought he was a home grown guy in his first year there.
groundattack Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I would venture a guess be a hire within the 4-6 weeks. The teaching position is open due to the coach going to his new job and I think they want to get someone in there to have spring practice. That is the plan but we know sometimes they don't work out.
thunder1 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 They should hire Josh Jaggers. He has some ties to that community, and he would be a great coach. I think he was in the running the last time it was open.
Harry Doyle Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 What happened to the guy they had? Thought he was a home grown guy in his first year there. Went to KY State as an assistant.

I think he was in the running the last time it was open. Agreed. His wife is from Marion County so it would make sense if he applied there. It wouldn't surprise me if he went after it. Selfishly I'd love to have him closer to my area. He owes me a night at Bluegrass Pizza and Pub. The sooner he gets closer to Danville the sooner we can celebrate.
Bobcat_dad Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Josh would be a good hire for the Knights.
StudRB Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Josh Jaggers would be great for Marion County. They already have a solid DC in place with Matthew Mattingly. It would work out well because Josh is an offensive guy. He knows that area well and has family all over that area so there are roots. Plus, he is the kind of guy you would want your son to play for.
interestednovice Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 As of this morning the job still is not posted. Wonder why?
WideZone Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 As of this morning the job still is not posted. Wonder why? I'm starting to wonder how much they actually care.
Sport underdog Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 What happened at Larue County for Jaggers?
PurplePride92 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 What happened at Larue County for Jaggers? Politics.
Pick-six Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 What about Gene Peterson? He is retired now. He has family in the area. He has high school and college head coaching experience.
