Coach Trosper is typically a serious guy but watching the announcement he didn't looked thrilled with that decision. I bet he wanted to be talking to Spurrier on a regular basis..

I've always thought that the Grant Co. job would be an attractive place to be. Good size school near NKY and in a district with 2 All 'A' schools. You would think there would be high interest for this position considering the talent that is there now.

How so? Has Coach Hicks officially resigned? Why would he leave Grant? What has administration done wrong?

Surely, this hire will settle down some of those Cooper parents who have been disgruntled with their program. I look for Cooper to really take off in the next 2 years.

I agree with Irish but there was underlying issue there with the coaching staff. Interesting to see how late in the season Coach Calcaterra waited before making this move. Makes you wonder if he resigned out of protest because he was unable to choose his staff for next season.

It is a good list. Would like to have seem Olivia Voskuhl on there but it's a pretty elite team. She did carry her team to the finals though.

Best might be a stretch. She is gifted but this region is turning out some female athletes. This is Morehead's second signee this season out of the region since the Hearn girl from Grant is also headed there.

Anderson might play with them for a bit tomorrow. Big question here, why press up 35 with starters still in the game in the 4th quarter? Coach certainly isn't worried about fatigue despite having to play 2 more games within the next 36 hours in order to win it all. Also, what would we be talking about if Rodgers or Epps had rolled an ankle or something....

I knew SK would bring it. They played a tough schedule and their girls were prepared for this game. What a tough way to lose. Look for a rematch in next year's regional final!

Brian is a class act and deserves this opportunity again. He calls a quality basketball game and is able to call the big games. I wouldn't be surprised to see him calling on the weekend. The 8th region has just as many quality officials as any other region. I don't understand why fans of the surrounding regions have such a negativity for them. Are they jealous?

This was a game that came to my mind as I read this thread title. The shot was classic Lofton fade away and super clutch!

Better safe than sorry. There is plenty of time for the game later in the week. This does buy time for SK to put together a game plan vs. Anderson though.

SK is gonna have to shoot better tonight and hit the glass hard or it will be a long night. Maybe this game made the team tougher. I predict the score in the finals to be much higher.
