He's a good man. Had a really young team. Some decent players coming back.

Coach Coburn has resigned.

Wow - any idea what spurred that to happen?

Didn't hear. I was told his daughter is graduating. Maybe he wants to watch her if she does something in college.

Not surprising. I didn't think he would stick around after his daughter graduated.

Thought he had a younger daughter who played also.

He does. Decision was made because of unhappy sophmore player parents.

A shame because Coach Coburn is a quality coach. And their freshman team was just jeesh....not because of the coaching.

He has a Soph daughter who plays ball as well.

If this is true, it really is a shame. Coburn is a very dedicated and committed coach. Good luck to the parents, players and school in finding a replacement.

Best wishes to Coach Coburn.

I'm glad Coach Coburn and the Lady Cru had the success he had during his run. I remember him catching a lot of guff when he got the gig.

Coach Coburn is one of the hardest working and most dedicated coaches in Kentucky. He did an oustanding job with the kids he had at St Henry. There must be some clueless parents in that Soph class, if this is true.

He had very little support there, particularly in the last 2-3 years. I checked the KHSAA scoreboards for the last 5 years. 98-50 with four district championships, four regional semifinal appearances, and a school record 25 wins in '11/'12 season. I would agree that is a successful run. There is some talent there and the bulk of it is in the sophomore class. The next coach will have something to work with and will benefit from Coach Coburn's hard work. St. Henry should be much improved in the next two seasons.

Great job he did considering volleyball is number one and St Henry is a small school, law of numbers.

What is going on in these schools? Parents have taken control of everything and no one in any administration has the backbone to stand up to them. Here you have a good coach who is told to quit or be fired all because a group of parents didn't like his style?
