Great review of the Cooper Jags. Great team. What kind of depth do they have at QB besides what I saw in the State Finals when O'Hara went out for a couple of series?

I heard last Night the size of the Highlands OL next year. Oh my. Just crazy. And to think in 2025 they will be probably bigger. 6"4-310 JR M. Merz 6"4-310 JR M. Howard 6"4"-280 JR B. Cook 6"2"-275 So T.Haretuku 6"0"-260 SR T. Bryant 6"0"-280 SR D. Race 6"1"-280 JR P. Murriner 6"2-225 SR/TE T. Ferring Some serious Girth. I will predict that SR RB Jack White will have some serious Numbers running behind that Big Blue Wall and the Highlands Offensive scheme. Exciting to see that Highlands is just reloading. When was the last time Highlands has had a OL this Big? I remember some big Kids back in the Mueller Era but this is just Nuts to have that many to choose from.

I heard Lorenzen was a load to deal with last night? Kid is a unbelievable talent. Did I hear correct that he just turned 14 a few months ago? That's crazy.

That's great. Build it and ask for forgiveness later? Certainly this was known from the get go when applying for a permit to put back Bleachers. Newport Independent would of known about this from Day 1. That field has always been in a Flood plain. Sounds to me that Newport Independent thought they would get what they wanted from the get go and thought it would just go by the wayside. Between Field replacement and now Bathrooms because of the Flood plain is just reckless with Money. Who bales Newport Independent out this time? City? State? America?

Lorenzen will do what's best for the Program whether it be playing TE, QB or even MLB. He will play somewhere on the Field next year. Too good not to be on the field. I watched him a couple of times at MLB last year and the kid just gets it. He does and see things not many kids see for only being a Freshman. Having a kid that talented at multiple positions and for being so young will be a huge help for Highlands on Friday Nights. The kid can literally do it all.

Highlands will be there somewhere in Nov. Not sure about #2 but wouldn't surprise me. They have built Incredible depth the past couple of years and with the younger Birds coming up, that things should look pretty bright the next couple of years. I would say flip Cooper and Highlands. To me Cooper still has a mid to low level O-line that O'hara bales out more than not with his Quick throws and Legs. O'hara has to be on his game all the time against quality teams. It showed in Semi's and Finals. Their line will get better with time but is still a major unknown to me.

Sorry the NBA in general is just not great to watch. Just my opinion. Even being a Huge Kentucky fan, I find myself rarely turning it on just to watch a kid like Devon Booker to see if he is having success. It's just not for me.

No clue about when the last time Basketball won the region. I agree that Winning attracts kids to certain sports. Like Softball and Baseball. They have sustained a level of success the last couple of years that kids just want to be part of. I see the Football program on the same path. Some programs up there the kids are treated like Rock Stars. Others I am not so sure about.

My daughter said that Drew was working out and helping with the Baseball program a few weeks back. Glad Drew hasn't big-timed Ft Thomas yet. Sounds like a great young man.

So the Girls Soccer program is stealing players from Coach Richey? I'm sure that's not going over very well. I would hate to be that Soccer coach. Like you said, it will be interesting to see if those youngsters stick it out with Basketball or if Highlands has a new Girls Soccer coach in the next few years.

Cooper in 2025. How the heck will they stay in 5A with the area Exploding the way it is? The only school I see in NKY that could compete in 6A if that's where they land with the next realignment. They will get the High Level Athletes over Ryle all day long and twice on Sundays. Not sure how they do it but they just seem to attract the better Athletes. My two cents.

I do not. I think he is doing a pretty good job. Bob Sphire will leave on his own terms. Just my opinion.

You have to have Depth to Win a Title. Who in NKY can say they have True Depth? Like if their QB goes down. Can the Backup get the Job done? Last year at Beechwood when Hayden went down, Harney provided that Depth until Hayden came back. Now that Harney is down the Street, does Beechwood have a kid that can step in? Maybe or maybe not. Now Highlands may not have the best QB in NKY next year because that one resides in Boone Co. but they will have 3 True quality QB's that could lead the team successfully on any Night. That is depth. I really like the Fields kid at Dixie. I think he's actually a better option than Gregg but what a great problem to have. I'm sure I'm missing someone. QB play in NKY has some good ones.

Cooper in 2025 will be the closest chance. I just think they're 6A with the next Class alignment. Cooper moves to 6A and Covington Catholic is back to 5A to help with the loss of Cooper in that District.

Heard the same this past week. Didn't this Highlands Senior class get smoked by North in middle school? At least the Highlands kids were middle schoolers. Lol!

As Cousin Eddy would say. Clark, @Shake N @Bake are the gifts that keeps giving all year long. Can't wait to start watching that Classic on repeat this next week.
