This was my point in the other thread. Forcing parents to shell out money they do not have so every member of a team has pink socks or a pink shirt, etc (and yes this is exatly what happens) is inherently not honoring and/or making awareness for breast cancer.

You could have at least kept this going through tomorrow. It is getting me through my work week!!!!!

Significany minutes on the varsity? If that is your question it has pretty well been established in a few threads that no Beechwood freshmen play any varsity minutes.

One thing I hope is nobody plays this week except for the freshman championship. Seems to me out of respect for the two teams playing you do not go scramble and find a game if your team was not good enough to qualify for this game. Well.............maybe as long as lets say you do not play on the same night...........I guess maybe it is not so bad if you played on Monday or Tues......

Sophomore Mitchell Jones at Highlands really blossomed onto the scene last season and I would expect him to continue to push towards the top of the food chain as far as 9th region pitchers.

First my condolences to anyone who has lost a family member to breast cancer or any other cancer for that matter. I have the same question though. Last weekend we were told by the youth coaches for my son's team that all players were going to wear pink socks last weekend. Well..........I had to shell out 7.50 for one pair and my question is how much of that went to cancer research. Let's face it 46 players on a team each have to get a pair of pink socks is a nice run of money for the company as you do that over and over again all over the country at all kinds of levels. Its almost as if it has gone from memorializing breast cancer victims and breast cancer awareness to a marketing strategy and that just sickens me.

Not necessarily.................Also makes expenses go up, which in sports such as volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, etc can mean losing money and not making money.

I am one that really does not see that getting to 1A is that big of a "god send" or a program savor for Brossart. Looking at this season they might have beaten Ludlow for the 4 seed but certainly could not have beaten the other three schools.
