X and T unis

Featured Replies

I haven't seen every uniform in high school football but based on pictures and videos of some of the top programs in the nation i would like to say X and T have some of the best unis nationwide. Is there any truth to this? Just wondering. Also Cincy X has those pink unis T has.

I'm so tired of the Pink Crap. If you want to show your support, wear a 5 cent pink ribbon decal on your helmet and donate all of the money you save on uniforms, towels, gloves, cleats, etc. directly to various Cancer fighting organizations. I understand how it started. The idea was that it was pretty cool to have masculine Football player wearing pink. The problem is now it has developed into"Fashion" and recognition for the player, not really Cancer Awareness. I would guess that very few of these kids understand what its about. They just want to wear Pink. I get it, it's fun and cool, but that's selfish, right?

Does anyone know how much of the sales Under Armour, Nike, Addidas, and Cutter actually give to Cancer. I'm sure it's minimal in scope. No matter what it is, Cancer Awareness would be better served by direct donations. We should be encouraging support and undertanding without the recognition.

Sorry for your loss. But i was just asking as far as visual perception, how does X and T unis compare to the nation. I thought they were above and beyond most schools.

I have no problem with your disagreement and you have my sympathy. I can't win this argument with you without looking like a jerk, so I won't attempt to.

It's my opinion and no one can change it.

Trinity was a school (I'm not sure how many there were nation wide) chosen by adiddas to wear their new "tech fit" uniforms. I have no clue how much was given to the school.... or if the pink jerseys were a part of the deal. As to the all yellow unis ST. X dons on occasion, I think Chiquita sponsors those.:banana::banana:

There were 10 schools, Cincy X is one of those. Also leave the bannanas out . But honestly the pics and videos ive seen most schools dont even have dry fit jerseys. They look worn or pop warner esque. I just dont understand it.

^ Just messing with you AT.... I do have a serious question about the Tiger helmets. I noticed "X"s on the back, like awards per game. I never knew St. X to do this.. when did that start and what do the players need to do to earn them? THX

First my condolences to anyone who has lost a family member to breast cancer or any other cancer for that matter. I have the same question though. Last weekend we were told by the youth coaches for my son's team that all players were going to wear pink socks last weekend. Well..........I had to shell out 7.50 for one pair and my question is how much of that went to cancer research. Let's face it 46 players on a team each have to get a pair of pink socks is a nice run of money for the company as you do that over and over again all over the country at all kinds of levels. Its almost as if it has gone from memorializing breast cancer victims and breast cancer awareness to a marketing strategy and that just sickens me.

Both schools have some of the better looking uniforms in the area, in the nation I don't know. But they're very good!

When everyone started wearing pink during October I thought it was a good idea, but like most things I believe it is starting to be overdone. If a team wants to show support get a small decal for the player's helmets.

XGrad, I've noticed those X stickers as well and I've always been a fan of teams having helmet stickers.

The problem is now it has developed into"Fashion" and recognition for the player, not really Cancer Awareness BINGO................100% Agree................

Players dont earn them, everyone on the team even the jv gets an x on their helmet. It represents district wins. Also if memory serves correct, playoff wins merit an x as well.

To the best of my knowledge, with Trinity's pink uniforms anyway, these weren't purchased by the school or anything like that. Addidas did this for breast cancer awareness and chose 10 teams to have wear the uniforms, the schools didn't shell out anything for them.

"Now that's funny right there......I don't care who you are ".....................

Adidas chose Trinity to wear the pink jerseys...does Vlasic have any say when Trinity wears all green?
