Are there any other NKY frosh games being played this week, aside from the frosh championship game between Beechwood and Ryle? I seem to recall some discussion on BGP about other NKY frosh teams trying to arrange for an additional game to be played this week.

 

Also, congrats to Beechwood and Ryle on making it to the NKY freshman championship game!

It's a shame that the CovCath/Conner game will not be made up. I spoke with my brother and he said that CovCath's Frosh season has ended.

One thing I hope is nobody plays this week except for the freshman championship. Seems to me out of respect for the two teams playing you do not go scramble and find a game if your team was not good enough to qualify for this game.

 

Well.............maybe as long as lets say you do not play on the same night...........I guess maybe it is not so bad if you played on Monday or Tues......

Highlands is currently looking for an opponent to play a 10th game, much like they did last year but so far no luck. If no game, they will practice this week and then dress for the game on Friday at Ryle.

Actually, Cooper is hosting Campbell Co. Weds night at 6. Cooper was banged up pretty badly this season and haven't been able to play full strength since the tie vs. Cov Cath.

The Bengals aren't doing anything this week. Maybe Marvin and the boy's can see how successful football programs play. :thumb:

At least. Heard they will be dressing 123 for the game tomorrow night at Ryle. May need 5 of those buses. Good thing most of the playoff games are here again this year.

Did they? I was only going by what I was told last night. They said they had 3 losses, 2 of them were by Ryle who they played twice and the other was BW. You could be right, i didn't follow them much. Just went to last nights game because the weather was so nice I wanted to watch some football.

What was the score of the Cooper Campbell game? Campbell was much better team vs BW than Cooper.

Final score was 26-14, CC being held scoreless the 2nd half.

 

And not taking ANYTHING away from Beechwood, but that was not the real Cooper team you guys saw. Their third string QB, God love him, is all of 5'2" and had taken ZERO snaps prior to that game. They were down their MLB, two safeties, the center, two O linemen and both RB's were hobbled. All season, they have been 4-6 inches smaller than the opposition and just play on smarts and heart.

 

And with all due respect, Conner was a ridiculously fast and well prepared team but Cooper lost in the 4th quarter on a bad coaching decision.

 

I'm not saying this guys are going to win it all as Seniors. Time has a way of mocking those kinds of sentiments.
