Geek61
Freshman games are pretty much important enough to travel to only for the parents of the players. Not too many other people would go to watch the game unless it were in their backyard. Perhaps you are correct, but there was a good crowd at BW on Wed so I assume this doesn't hold for Freshman Championships. I was just teasing Hellbird a bit. I assume the game was in his "Backyard" so I'll have to cut him some slack.
san diego conquistadors
That is just silly. 100 kids on the sideline? I suspect you can figure out the pecking order if your jersey number is 113 or 89.6......... But seriously that is a lot on a sideline! thisguy
Yes, conner won their game against Cooper. 20-19 I believe. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Epic using Forum Runner That is correct. Conner scored in the final minute to beat Cooper freshman. Very good game.
Geek61
Can't count, doesn't read well either. TAKING NOTHING AWAY FROM BEECHWOOD....I was just trying to explain why you were mistaken that CC was a better team than Cooper based on what you saw and who you didn't see. CC was beaten in every aspect of the game at Cooper Wednesday night. "I won't let you".....you ain't MY daddy, OLD man. Oh, I can read. When you start a sentence with "Taking nothing away from Beechwood" then proceed to make excuses as to why you lost (and lost badly) I ignore it. It's like beginning a statement with "No Offense, but..." and proceeding to be offensive. Starting with a disarming statement, doesn't change the overall sentiment of the statements that follow. Maybe you are the one who can't read. I never made a statement about Cooper and CC or who was better. My only comment about CC was about it being Beechwood's touhest game. You are so quick to make excuses that you are seeing things that aren't even there. Heck, I even congratulated you on winning the 2nd runner-up bowl. What more do you want LITTLE PIGGY? Ram
Good discussion, but EVERYONE needs to quit the name calling, if you are both are going to reference each other, then you need to use the proper screen name. One, and only warning.
san diego conquistadors
Bottom line Beechwood was head and shoulders better than all freshman teams in Northern KY.

People will make more of an effort to go see those which is a good thing as the kids have earned it.

Old Sports Dad it is very true that the Cooper team is a completely different team when they are healthy as with any football team, but especially at the QB position. I believe BW scored four times on turnovers (passes by our inexperienced QB filling in for the first two QB's). Cooper takes pride in their football and anyone should find it offensive for someone to brag about a beat down on half healthy team. BW has an excellent freshman team this year and deserve every win the worked for. We should all leave it at that and not this elementary boasting. It's a freshman football championship not the Superbowl, so anytime a school can schedule a game at that level to get kids experience, they should regardless of a freshman championship game. And on another note, who will even remember or care about finishing places once these boys are seniors at the varsity level? Cmon man!

Clearly you don't get it as you continue to try to make the same poitns he did. PigSkin Junkie was trying to claim that Beechwood did not play the same Cooper Team due to inuries and I was simply making the argument that it was not simply a down team. So look to your own fans before you start complaing about me "bragging"or "boasting". I did not come on here bragging or boasting about a "beat down" (your term BTW) I was simply sticking up for BW when someone appeared to be claiming they were not the better team. I believe him when he says he wasn't, but that's how it comes across.
katbird
Beechwood by far was the best team this year.. Not even close in my opinion..Following in a distant 2nd and 3rd would be Ryle and Highlands..JMO
INIT2WINIT
Now Ethan is playing with the guys at Beechwood(Ft. Mitchell Spartans) and he gained alot. They are 2 different teams that you just can't compare. This BW team has gone 15-1 in 2 years and won back to Frosh Championships. That will be hard for any team to do in the future. The bad math is how many positions do you think "one or two players" take up?? D U H This Cooper squad saw Stringer TWICE in NKYFL one year ago and the kid barely gained a yard. I have both films if you wanna kill an hour.
Voice of Reason
Every player on that team? And their parents ... and a few others. I have seen quite a few posts on BGP by Cooper fans talking about their championship when the current seniors were freshmen.
