Geek61
Final score was 26-14, CC being held scoreless the 2nd half. And not taking ANYTHING away from Beechwood, but that was not the real Cooper team you guys saw. Their third string QB, God love him, is all of 5'2" and had taken ZERO snaps prior to that game. They were down their MLB, two safeties, the center, two O linemen and both RB's were hobbled. All season, they have been 4-6 inches smaller than the opposition and just play on smarts and heart. And with all due respect, Conner was a ridiculously fast and well prepared team but Cooper lost in the 4th quarter on a bad coaching decision. I'm not saying this guys are going to win it all as Seniors. Time has a way of mocking those kinds of sentiments. I'll take ridiculous excuses for two hundred Alex... All teams have injuries. With exception of CC, Beechwood dominated every game I saw. One or two players was not going to make a difference. Congratulations on winning the 4th place bowl tonight. Edit: wait, do I now read that you lost tonight too?

Beechwood starters played one possession in the second half and never punted in the game.
PigSkin Junkie
The bad math is how many positions do you think "one or two players" take up?? D U H This Cooper squad saw Stringer TWICE in NKYFL one year ago and the kid barely gained a yard. I have both films if you wanna kill an hour. Geek61
Did they? I was only going by what I was told last night. They said they had 3 losses, 2 of them were by Ryle who they played twice and the other was BW. You could be right, i didn't follow them much. Just went to last nights game because the weather was so nice I wanted to watch some football. This is why no other games should be scheduled. Beechwood Alumni going to watch the two teams battle for 5th place instead of the championship. The weather was very nice in your hometown too hellbird. D U H This Cooper squad saw Stringer TWICE in NKYFL one year ago and the kid barely gained a yard. I have both films if you wanna kill an hour. You are sad. You are now going to go back to the NKYFL and what some of the cooper players did against one of the BW players in PeeWee football, really? As I have been saying all season, this team was far more than one player. That's why your team lost by more than 4 touchdowns. I'm also guessing Ethan isn't too worried about what happened in the 8th grade. I like Cooper and wish the kids well. I'm sure the Freshman will get back to beating Beechwood at some point, but this year was all BW and I won't let you play the Ifs and buts crap trying to diminish their season in a pathetic attempt to make Cooper look less bad. As for my math, sorry I didn't realize you were making all those excuses. I read the first two and stopped. Was there a plane crash in union or a devastating illness that took out your whole team? Must have been.
PigSkin Junkie
Can't count, doesn't read well either. TAKING NOTHING AWAY FROM BEECHWOOD....I was just trying to explain why you were mistaken that CC was a better team than Cooper based on what you saw and who you didn't see. CC was beaten in every aspect of the game at Cooper Wednesday night. "I won't let you".....you ain't MY daddy, OLD man.

Qryche11
At least. Heard they will be dressing 123 for the game tomorrow night at Ryle. May need 5 of those buses. Good thing most of the playoff games are here again this year. That is just silly. 100 kids on the sideline?

Qryche11
Been that way the past couple years. I wonder how many kids will be sequestering hot dogs from their parents like I heard some of the JV kids were doing a few weeks back. LOL With the amount of numbers Highlands has in their program, this is just silly. Outside of Daugherty, who I know has been kicking for Varsity all year, the rest need to turn in their equiptment IMO. Start getting ready for next year. I could see if they had maybe 70-80 kids but 123 is too many. What a logisitcal nightmare trying to figure out who the play. Let the sophs/Jr's who have been waiting for their chance get the minutes if there is a blowout.

I believe the freshman used to continue to practice away from the varsity even after they moved up. That's how I understood it anyway. It is a lot of bodies to get to the away games. Mitchell this past Wednesday, saw a number of coaches and players from other programs watching the game. Of course it was a Wednesday night with not much going on, probably mostly out of curiosity.
