Should be a good one for HS football fans. My guess is Bellevue in a close one.

Based on these ranking it looks like Beechwood has a tough schedule as they play 4 of the top 20 (NCC, Dixie, CCH & SK) in the regular season and likely will play #9 Mayfield in the playoffs. That's a tough schedule for a 1A team.

This one might be decided late in the 4th quarter but CCH has momentum and confidence right now and I am still not sure what to expect out of Dixie. HR is right, after this one is over we will know more about what to expect the rest of the season.

1A Beechwood should not be able to beat a 6A powerhouse. But they easily defeated 5A Conner. IMO, coaching and conditioning will give the Tigers the edge in this one and Beechwood will win.

Give it a few more weeks first. Then we will know for sure.

Not really knowing anything about Goshen, I still have to go with the Tigers on this one.

Of course Mayfield will see anything short of a state championship as a disappointment. They are the reigning state champs. To date, they literally own Beechwood. It's theirs to lose.

Smaller schools usually do have players go both ways out of necessity. With all those injuries and players going both ways, Beechwood shouldn't stand a chance against 6A SK on the 26th, right?

After hearing about the way Beechwood, a 1A school, demolished 5A Conner, which was 6A last year, in the scrimmage this past Friday, my guess is that is their mindset. Why wouldn't it be?

Is it permissible to use the words "Highlands" and "bad" in the same sentence? Any KY team playing Trinity this season will look "bad". HHS is certainly not bad. The Birds will play for hardware in December when the bad teams have moved on to basketball.
