I thought that Dixie's D was going to be an issue. Pike is going to have to play both ways which doesn't necessarily bode well for Dixie.

Kind of surprised by this one with NCC dominating after losing alot from last year. NKY 6a has to be wide open if the favorite gets taken behind the woodshed by a 2a team, Even if NCC is the favorite in 2a. Pike or no Pike Dixie has some work.

8 new offensive starters for NewCath and the still looked very cohesive. This says an awful lot about NewCath's oline. NewCath will be very explosive this year. Also, a fake punt and onside kick to open the half, love the gutsiness. That doesn't even mention the opening td on 4th down. Never liked being so wrong before. Glad my prediction was way off

NCC was very impressive. They basically walked up and down the field and the only real Dixie score was a kickoff return. Not surprised Newcath won but very surprised at the margin of victory. Zeke Pike playing wouldn't have made much difference in this game. NCC totally dominated the game up front on both sides of the ball. Congratulations to Coach Eviston, his staff and the Breds on a very impressive first win of the season.

Eviston seems to be a very nice younger head coach. He can't be but 31?!? For an accomplished program to put a young head coach in charge means they really wanted him, and now we know why. Nice win no matter what the circumstances- this was a wood-shedding (i agree JW).. Like to see this, NCC will be tough throughout his tenure. On to the next week...

Is it time for the Dixie Coaching Staff to turn over the reins to a new group of coaches? I do not believe this tenured group of coaches is getting the most of their kids...time for a change! NewCath out coached and out performed Dixie in all aspects of the game tonight. Pike would not have been a difference maker in this game!

Congrats Breds on a fine win. Its hard to imagine that the absence of one D1 QB mattered very much given the final score. Coach Tom is well regarded at DH due to his top notch character and his interest in the young men's lives beyond football. Dixie will sort this out and they will be competative against 6A opponents. If your an opponent of NCC, good luck.
