Very surprised Trinity didn't crack the top 25!

Can you elaborate on your surprise? Even here on BGP, many (if not most) don't feel they're a top 25 nationally...and that's fair. Look at the teams there! We have to earn our way in, especially for pre-season rankings. I think that they're very arbitrary, happy when we make one, but certainly don't expect to.

With the schedule Trinity is playing, if they start off 2-0 or 3-0, then I suspect we will see them on this list.

Middletown (OH) is absolutely loaded this year. Surprised their not ranked.

If either Trinity or St.X is undefeated come October 1st they should be in the top 25. IMHO

Just looking through the teams on the USA Today list I noticed Prattville Alabama returns 10 on offense, 9 on defense, and have 12 D1 players (4 SEC and 3 ACC). Wow!! The Aug. 27 game vs. St. Thomas Aquinas should be interesting.

We do what we are trying to, and the rankings will take care of themselves....no worries.

What does that mean?

I think all those teams deserve to be there at the beginning of the year. What matters is who's there at the end of the year.

What does that mean?

"They are who we thought they were."

What does that mean?
It means, if we win every game in front of us, we'll be fine.

Isn't that true of every team? What does that have to do with national rankings?

Most teams don't play a schedule that should demand a high national ranking with an undefeated season. Trinity is this year.

Am I missing something here with you?
