Middletown (OH) is absolutely loaded this year. Surprised their not ranked.

Didn't know you weren't following the point of the thread. To clarify, the point of the thread was the surprise that Trinity isn't in the initial rankings. Does my post make more sense to you now?

No surprise here. It's going to take a spectacular (undefeated) season for a Kentucky high school team to crack the Top 25; that's just the nature of the beast.

 

Maybe the Rocks didn't do enough in the preseason to persuade the voters to put them in the preseason elite.

I think they win their conference this year and are perhaps the 1st or 2nd best team in the Cincinnati area. Maybe 3rd or 4th best in all of Ohio. They scrimmage Elder this weekend, it'll be interesting to see how that goes.

National rankings don't mean much to me on HS level. State Championships matter more. Too many High Schools out there to actually thin these teams are being evaluated fairly and equally. JMO.
