Why is Harlan Co. 1-1 and Pikeville 2-0? Did this loss that Harlan Co. apparently has on the Maxprep record, but not in reality, hurt their ranking? How about Pikevilles 2 wins? Just curious. Do you think Maxprep has mistaken Harlan Co. and Harlan as one school? Again, just curious.

I saw "Kenton" in Independence, KY on their list at #19. What is Simon ranked? :D

Why not just Kenton? Is there another Kenton school in Ky? Or should they list all the first names, Larry Ryle, Randall Cooper, Oliver Wendell Holmes, etc.? I say from now on we refer to them on here like all the other schools--by last name only. Less confusing than Scott and Scott County.

UK#1Fan.......are you nervous about losing to a little 1A school Friday? You seem obsessed with Beechwood. Simon Kenton is a big school and should stomp Beechwood badly Friday...right? You might not want to bank on your huge line as your saving grace though. Remember Beechwood beat NewCath and their "monster" line last year. It's a speed game and Beechwood can only be wore down if they stand around and let themselves get hit. I don't see that happening.

To avoid confusion with Scott County (and to pay deference to the name sake) I am all for referring to Scott high school as Robert Scott. Robert Scott was a farmer from Villa Hills. He walked down the hill and across the Ludlow railroad bridge to Cincinnati every day to attend high school in the early 30's. Mr. Scott went on to the University of Kentucky where he earned a degree during the height of the depression. Robert Scott served many years on the Kenton County School Board. A brilliant guy who just died a couple of years ago.
