Understood that an outsider may not have as much access, yet the outside perspective may be a little less inclined to just list Trinity 1, then X at 2, as is the habit for most locals regardless of circumstances.

Don't think ANY other team could beat either one of those this year. Might catch some grief from Ft. Thomas. Just a personal opinon, think X and the birds would be a good one.

I wasn't the one calling the rankings a joke. If you feel they are, then you should post your rankings which you did.

Agreed, H vs. X would be a good one. But...... Highlands , Boyle, Bell, BG, and others have had better teams in certain years in the past. Never is there a concession that this could ever be the case.

Why is Harlan Co. 1-1 and Pikeville 2-0? Did this loss that Harlan Co. apparently has on the Maxprep record, but not in reality, hurt their ranking? How about Pikevilles 2 wins? Just curious. Do you think Maxprep has mistaken Harlan Co. and Harlan as one school? Again, just curious.

 

Maxprep uses Calpreps computer ratings. They confused Harlan Co and Harlan and gave both games to Harlan Co. It will hurt Harlan Co rating with the loss. A teams strength of schedule carriers a decent amount of weight in a teams ranking. The rankings early in the year use data from the previous year as a starting point so there is typically alot of movement up and down with their ratings. As the season goes on they are seem to be more accurate.

That kind of reminds me, the LitRatings are going to be interesting this season for Trinity. We only play 3 schools in state for the regular season, so it will be fun to see where we are ranked by them.

Big schools don't automatically stomp little schools. Especially in this case. Beechwood is NOT a typical little school program. I am sure SK faithful are calling for a win, but to say SK should "stomp" Beechwood is crazy. Beechwood is definitely higher than 28th and imo will be farther in the season.

Theres several teams that could make a case and Beechwood is one of them along with Bell Co, Somerset, OB Cath, Belfry, etc .. A win over SK this week and I'd put them in there..It's still early..
