Love your avatar Topcat5. Although Schulte got some quality post minutes last year as a frosh, the absence of Giesler will be obvious in the early part of the season. Even without Pike Dixie will be a load for any team because of their length and athleticism. Hatton is likely the best sophomore in N.Ky, if not the entire state. Unless Highchew goes off, Dixie wins by 10-12.

Not sure where you got the college list Roman but there was an article approx. 2 weeks ago which said that Auburn was renewing their interest in Winston, who is also a stellar baseball player. If they both went to Auburn that would make for an interesting QB competition. Interestingly Gunner Kiel, who was rated as the #1 pro-style QB in this year's senior class didn't even make the final 11. Make N.Ky proud at the game.

Is the Hassert for Holy Cross Dan Hassert's daughter? Dan played for the Indians in the early 80s, graduating in 84. He went on to write for the Ky Post.

As funny as it sounds I have heard him explain that very play, as yes, he did take responsibility for the INT. It was at home vs. Dixie along the visitor's sideline, a quick pass to the right. PT did make the tackle after the pick.

The KHSAA stats indicate they run the ball about 3 times as often as passing it. Not sure about what type of defense they use... although I'm sure that other than Lone Oak, they haven't faced a passing team the likes of the Birds this season.
