Great effort by both teams very good game to watch. A nice glimpse of what the Birds can do and it will be even more Fun when Towles and New return.

Congrats to both teams tonight.

Special thanks to Mustang for promoting our Chik Fil A. Fundraiser.

Jennings had over 20 points.

He had a monster 4th quarter.

Drew Burns (44) played like a MAN tonight. The kid has a warrior's heart. Alex Trentmen got some key buckets around the rim. Saunders is an extremely good passer. He can get a little out of control sometimes, but he just doesn't back down.

At about the two minute mark in the second half Brossart was winning by 8. Then Highlands got real hot from behind the arc. Halftime Brossart led by one, thanks to Ben Uebel's and one at the buzzer.

Highland carried their hot streak on into the second half. At one point they were up ten in the third quarter. Then Code brought back in Jennings and Burns (both got their fourth fouls in the first half). Brossart was able to cut the lead to 6 at the end of the third. From there on out, Brossart's size dominated and Highland started missing some of the threes that they were netting.

I don't think Brossart made one three ball.

Hope the injured Highlands player is OK. He caught an unintentional elbow from Jennings.

Birds have to be happy with their performance tonight. Looks like their new style fits them well and they do cause some uptempo problems.

I thought that late in the game when we played to our strengths we played well.

In a game of runs Highlands went on a 17-4 run, turning a 34-31 Brossart advantage into a 48-38 Highlands lead. Following the Mike Code time out the Mustangs became much more patient, played to our strengths and finished the game out by outscoring the home team 31 to 13. Mustangs bigs (Jennings 22 and Burns 12) combined for 34 points.

Great turnout by the Brossart student and fans sections tonight. The Chik-Fil-A sandwich was terriffic.

Anyone have the box scores? They must not have been called in. Than again the games lasted so long it may have been past the deadline.

Great game of runs by both teams last night. Highlands was shooting lights out for the middle half of the game. Brossart bigs stepped up when needed. Brossart student was rocking the house.
