Which BGPers Will Be At The Cov Cath/Highlands Game On Friday?

Covington Catholic at Highlands Updates

Did not expect that wide a margin. The Birds played near perfect football on both sides of the ball tonight. Congrats to the Colonels on a great season!

Final.

I thought it was 49-14.

Wow! Congratulations to the Birds.

I thought it was 49-14.

It was. Sorry about that.

Well that answers that question. Better team won.

Congrats!

Highlands O line dominated this game. Yields had ample time and then the running game took over. Very balanced game offensively. Defensively, if you can cover receivers man to man consistently like they did tonight it makes a world of difference in who you can commit in the box. Great defensive game. When will 42 get some offers? The kid is a superstar

I am pleasantly shocked! I don't know who I was more impressed with, the O or the D. That's as good an all around game as you're going to see. A real joy to watch tonight.

Stay focused Birds, two to go.

The Birds have as good of a nose man as I've ever seen play.

It has to be a simple size issue with the position he plays. He is incredible. I was watching the game thinking as an interior lineman he is pretty much your worst nightmare.

More later, but I had to post what an outstanding job Highlands O line did tonight. Most of the time Pat had all kinds of time to pass. Run blocking was exceptional. Just exceptional. Well done boys. Well done.

Devon did have another exceptionally good game. He'll play at the next level standing up and will do very well at it. Outstanding quickness and speed.

Devon has a preferred walk on spot offer from UC but is still waiting for an offer. With their scholly situation for next year, that doesn't seem likely. If UC can get him as a walk on, that'd be a HUGE get.

Wow!!!! Big congrats to the Highlands players and coaches tonight. Sounds like the 'Birds played a great game all-around.

It appears that Highlands' defense has improved over the course of the year.

With the win Highlands accomplishes a very impressive (and rare) feat: HHS went 6-0 vs. CCH in football this year, defeating the Colonels twice at the freshman level, twice at the JV level and twice at the varsity level. I don't think too many programs play against each other SIX times in a year!
