I love the part about wearing little boys down. The opposite happened, the Cov. Cath. D line could not stop the run. If I remember corrrectly, Highlands only completed a pass 1 time on their last 2 td drives.

 

If it wasn't for a mistake by HHS on the field goal this game would have been much uglier. Outside of the kickoff game, Highlands owned the game.

 

This shouldn't come as a surprise. That makes it

 

22 out of 26 for the Bluebirds. Yes 22 out of 26.

 

Big ups to the running back who blew through a slew of tackles for Highlands. Those "big boys" had a rough time bringing him down. Oline was great, also Towles ability to not get tackled really showed up. On the defensive side # 17 (name?), #42 Bruns, and the dbs made a lot of pass deflections.

 

 

Gabe Gray is a player. Way better than JJ Jude. He is a phenomenal special teams player as well. The Cov Cath oline certainly didn't dominate. Like some said they would (see quote above).

 

Great job Birds, just another stepping stone on the way to number 21.

It is remarkable how HHS replaces 2-3 starters on the o-line each year and keep getting the same results.

It's a pretty simple formula. The guys who played in the second half this season, will be the guys who play in the first half next season, and so on and so on...

Let's not short change last year's team. I think they were as good as this one. Both were pretty good.

Bad deal apparently broke his Fibia and was not in a good state of mind if you get my drift.

Great job by the HHS football program this year against CCH. 6-0 Varsity, JV, Freshman. CCH is back on the rise to the top which makes it even more impressive. A true testament to the Coaches, Players, Fans, and all of it's support system. Great job Birds!!!

Another example of what makes the birds sooooo tough: Carter New not 100 percent, Beau Magee comes over from offense and makes some great plays on D. Nicely done young man.

Towles was excellent. I am glad the next time I see him play he will have a "K" and not an "H" on his helmet. The Birds were outstanding on both sides of the ball. Best of luck the rest of the way.
