#2 is the starting quaterback and honestly the kid couldnt have helped IMO. #71 is the best offenssive lineman so hes missed big time. Dayton is back to the Dayton of old, instead of talking with their pads they talk with their mouth. Since were not winning the game lets see if we can win in a fight. For Dayton to turn things around they need to start from the ground up, new coaching staff everything their are to many internal problems in this program to move forward. Its a sad thing to see just three years removed from one of their best seasons ever (07-08) class, when it seems like something positive it crashes and burns. Daytons in for a long year!

It seemed like they played pretty good D sense Holmes has scored over 40 pts a game. They had a good strategy they also tackled fairly good up until the fourth quater. You could see that Holmes was in better shape. I didnt understand why Cooper tried to up the tempo in the first quater they were going to run out of gas early until they slowed the pace. The one thing I would say about Coopers defensive strategy is why would you man up the best reciever in NKY and the db was 5'8 with short arms and the reciever is 6'3 with long arms and they had no saftey help the whole game!

Very good game and pretty sloppy for the bulldogs but they held on and got the win in a game alot of people would say was Coopers biggest game of the year. Desean Peterson had four catches for 108 yards and a td. He had an unbelievabe one hand catch in which the corner grabbed him and was called for pass interference which went for about 40 yards. #2 Greg Clemons was very effective at running back and his LB'er spot. Bradley had a nice game and Cooper did what they needed to have nice long drives and chew clock. Morris looked very good for a soph. he controlled the game and made some plays. The one thing that Cooper can not afford is falling down by a couple scores when they had the ball with 1:40 remaining and trying to air it out they had trouble and the o-line struggled the one thing Morris can work on is when he is scrambling is keeping his eyes down field several times recievers broke away from coverage when he was scrambling but this will come with time he will be a special ball player for Cooper!

You can run the ball all game but if your defense cant stop Lloyds O then its still going to be a long game!! Im pulling for the devils but i see the juggs winning this one 28-7

One key area to this game the Jag's qb is a sophmore going against a veteran defense for Holmes. Adjusting to the speed of the varsity game takes longer then two games to get used to, especially going against the fastest team he will most likely see all season!

As long as Holmes stays healthy and can develop some depth they should have a shot, they have a tought rough though through Lex Cath and the Boyle district!

I would assume we would half to see what teams petitioned to move up a class, then you would get a better picture of the districts!

I dont think it was headed in the right direction a couples years ago when Scott lost to a 1a program in Dayton in which you scheduele to build the program thinking its an easy win. Scott hasnt been headed in the right direction for awhile.

Holmes big, Bellevue will struggle offensivelly Holmes D can stop the run and have a really good d- line and the LB'ers are pretty good. Holmes offense can only stop themselves and i dont see it happening they have alot of veterans. Holmes 42 Bellevue 6

After what i witnessed at the Penleton County game Taylor will win this one. Dayton hurts themselves to much and they cant throw the ball and you half to be able to complete some passes to keep the defense honest. Taylor 24- Dayton 6

For Holmes the stud of the show was Jenson, he made all the correct plays and never forced the issue and took what the defense gave him. Greg Clemons was a monster on the defensive side and averaged about eight yards a carry. Desean Peterson had a very good game also at the WR position and laid the wood on several peel back blocks. Tommy Courtny was all over the place at LB and probably had 10-15 tackles. Lloyds passing game still needs to work on timing and line protection. Lloyd will be more competitive when they get into district play and plays 1a and 2a teams.

Also today the jv game was just like last night I believe the score was 68-7!!!!

Maybe longer then last year, Dayton needs to open up the playbook. They had plenty of throwing lanes if you dont trust your qb then why do you have hiom at qb? Coach Deaton was predictable on the offensive side, you cant run the ball on third and ten everytime and expect to get a first down! Defensively Dayton had their chances and let the qb slip by everytime. Also towards the end of the game some of the worse clock management I have seen.

So is Boone County being over looked in Nky 6a??

Holmes did what they wanted and when they wanted to. The offense played much better compared to last week and the defense was all over the place. I also hope to see Lloyd get back to where they used to be 25 kids on the roster and it seemed like they had five on the sidline on crutches.

This is surprise congrats to Bellevue on a big W. They cant stay on this win to long they have a tough opponent next week in Holmes.
