What's the new district alignment, now that the new class alighnment is out?

I would assume we would half to see what teams petitioned to move up a class, then you would get a better picture of the districts!

What will the districts look like? I think Betsy Layne will be with Prestonsburg, but after that, I think it is a toss up.

I'd like to see Woodford County,West Jessamine,East Jessamine,Franklin County, and Anderson County; would be like the old 3A district we were in.

Interesting that Highalnds is the smallest 4A school but even if the drop in enrollment they likely would never be dropped into 3A since they have a nice four team district with Holmes, CovCath and Cooper. One would think that Cooper has the potential to grow into a 5A school in a short period of time. That is a very interesting district since both Holmes and Cooper are on the upswing. I know it likely won't happen but the playoff criteria should change, two teams from each district would make the regular season that much more special. I'd even settle for three teams from each with the top seed getting a bye.

I think Highlands may have Pendleton County and Harrison County with them as well.

How weak is 5a?

The east is incredibly weak. Pulaski County and Whitley County are the only teams from districts 5-8 currently in the BluegrassPreps top 10. Schools like Highlands, CovCath, Johnson Central, and Ashland Blazer all drop down. The west weakens a little with the departure of Owensboro, but do have some good programs in Bowling Green, John Hardin, Christian County, Warren Central, Shelby County, and Collins. Bowling Green will be the favorite next year.

Lets hope not..

And why is that??

Here's a prediction for 6A:

District 1 Marshall County

Muhlenberg County

Henderson County

Daviess County

District 2 Central Hardin

Nelson County

Meade County

Pleasure Ridge Park

District 3 St. Xavier

Manual

Male

Butler

District 4 Southern

Fern Creek

Seneca

Trinity

District 5 Ballard

Eastern

Ryle

Oldham County

District 6 Campbell County

Simon Kenton

Dixie Heights

Boone County

District 7 Bryan Station

Scott County

Lafayette

Paul Lawrence Dunbar

District 8 Madison Central

George Rogers Clark

Tates Creek

Henry Clay

And why is that??

Because LexCath and Boyle would probably pair with them in a four team district?

And why is that??

Two lopsided games, what would be the positives?

How weak is 5a?

Bowling Green should have a chance to do what Highlands has done the past two years. I think that the only state titles in the whole class belong to them and Conner. (But again, don't quote me.)
