LexCath 91 Scott County 83
What were the stats for the game? I heard Keyla Snowden, Natalie Novosel, and Briana Green all three put up 20+ in this one. I was a bit shocked at the free throw differential Catholic had over Scott Co. considering this was at Georgetown. However, I know the Lady Knights are good at driving to the hole and drawing fouls such as in the second LCA game this season.

Lexington Christian 72 Lexington Catholic 68
Very true. Add depth as well. The past few years they could go to their bench and have two to three girls that were just as good as the starters. This team has some great shooters but if they aren't playing well this team is vulnerable.

LexCath 74 Tates Creek 71 3OT
So I just heard that this game went into triple overtime and Lexington Catholic won by 3. Anyone have details on this game? Either way, if you attended the 43rd District's Boys/Girls Championships you saw Lex Cath/LCA go to 2OT in the girls and Lex Cath/Creek go to 3OT in the boys. EXCITING BASKETBALL!!!

Lexington Catholic-Lexington Christian
If im correct, this the Lady Knights first region loss since 2002 in the region finals against Woodford Co. Of course looking on KHSAA doesn't help because Lexington Catholic sports seems to have had to forfeit every win ever.

Lexington Catholic-Lexington Christian
Just went final. Lex Cath's first region loss in a LONG TIME. 72-68 LCA. Congrats to Christian they've worked hard. Come on Lady Knights, bounce back to win region.

Lexington Catholic-Lexington Christian
Well, it just hit the second OT. 60-60. Corbett, a bench player for the Lady Knights hit a three w/ a second left to tie it up and go to the second OT.

2007 Lexington Catholic
As of now I'd say a lot of the weight of carrying the team will fall to Israel the running back for the Knights.

Lexington Catholic 57 Paris 49
Normally I'd agree with you bricklayer but with the bad publicity the Lady Knights get, playing starters late into the 4th in a 20+ blowout would be cause for many of the dissenters to start clamoring about how little class they show. I was shocked at this score but after reading a summary of the game, it just sounds like after the third quarter the Lady Knights coasted some and Paris kept coming. I'd say come Tournament time few teams will see the Lady Knights let up on big leads.

Scott County at LexCath
This is funny. I'm not that anti-Scott Co. I actually like Lexington Catholic having a huge rival in the state, and now in the same region. However, it has always been a think of joke that playing in Georgetown is tough because you never know if you're gonna get any calls. Im not saying playing at Lexington Catholic is any better, im just asking how it is any different from being a visiting team on Scott Co.'s home court. As for Scott Co. always dominating and being #1, I don't recall Scott Co. winning many state championships in this decade. In fact I recall schools such as Lexington Catholic, Male, and Mason Co.(just to name a couple, I know there are more) being as dominant if not more at times. Scott Co. will always be a huge influence in Kentucky high school basketball but don't get too full of yourself. Other teams will always be right there with them. Still, im sad I won't be making it home to see this game, both teams play intense basketball and this one should be a good game. If the Knights play well it could even rival some of the great State Tourny meetings these two had.

Scott County at LexCath
How is that different from playing at Scott Co.?

Scott County National Ranking
2002 I believe USA Today had Lexington Catholic in the top 15. Otherwise I'd say so unless Mason Co. got ranked in the Lofton years. Also congrats to Scott Co. for getting the state some pub.

Lex Cath 98 Lou. Mercy 82
You are correct, starting center Kellie Cash sat out this game with the coach. Just read it in the paper. Not sure why they had to sit out but it had to do with the Lafayette game.

Lex Cath 98 Lou. Mercy 82
I'd say this win might be a good starting spot for the Lady Knights getting some of their focus back. My dad said Lex Cath was in control of this game most of the night. No idea on stats but got to be a good win for this team.

Lexington Catholic 57 Clay Co 48
Cash, Snowden Seniors. Green, Novosel Juniors. Wilson Sophmore. The bench is mainly juniors and sophmores. Sounds like the Lady Knights have been in a funk lately. Not to take away from Clay Co. but after the Holiday Season the Lady Knights seemed to be head and shoulders above most the state, but the past month they have really seemed to struggle. No depth and little size might be catching up to them.

Who was the fastest Kentucky high school football player ever?
John Logan was probably the fastest I saw play being teammates with him all four years of high school. I remember running an 80 yard sprint with him one year and being a good ten or so yards behind him it seemed at the end. He was legit 4.29 or so speed. If he caught the ball in any space then he was likely to take it to the yard.

Sacred Heart 77 Lexington Catholic 66 OT
Lex Cath when they are shooting well and operating well defensively and offensively is still probably the favorite. However, this team lacks depth, height, and intensity at times. Get some players in foul trouble and keep the pressure up and the Lady Knights are beatable. Congrats Sacred Heart. Still, I wouldn't want to face the Lady Knights in the tournament. Five starters who have won the State Championship and handled tough games suggest this team still has poise and experience. March might seem more wide open but I'd still say that if Scott Co. or Lex Cath win the 11th they will be a huge favorite still.

Sweet 16
11th? Henry Clay, LCA, Lex Catholic, Scott Co.

Does Scott Co. have any chance to pull the upset over Huntington?
Lex Cath also finished ranked in the top 10 I think in '02 when they won state. Their two losses were to traditional powerhouse Dematha high school by 1 and West Jessamine by 1.

11th Region
LCA is definately gonna be tough. Lex Cath didn't play with nearly enough energy against them in the game I saw and by the same token, LCA's press did as much bad as good for them. Both however are pretty solid usually. I haven't seen Scott Co. this season but w/ Gray and a good supporting cast you always gotta expect a tough game. Definately a tough region.

Mason County 73 Lex Cath 68 2OTs
Sounds like a pretty good game. I figured Catholic was gonna have a tough week playing three teams away from home with Tates Creek and Mason Co. being on back to back nights and Lex Christian sometimes being pesky on their court. The Knights are a good team that isn't quite at great just yet but I think they will give some people a challenge come tournament time thanks to good height and some solid shooters.

2007 Boyle County
No doubt were these games awesome. 16 points is the margin of victory for all four games combined. Man did it suck to be on the losing sideline for them. Im very happy to see these two back in district together.

Candidate for Miss Basketball
I'd say Briana Green and Natalie Novosel would give them a run as best teammate duo. I know its not the 16th region but I was just listing a pretty solid teammate duo. Still, I have never gotten to see Rose Hill's stars play but everyone I have ever talked to has given high praise. Lex Cath's fans were impressed.

This week doesn't get better for the Knights looking at their schedule.
