  1. The first 5 can beat each other on any given night
  2. Fairdale is too high, Madison Central is too low. I think the first 4 are your top 4 teams in the state though.
  3. Looks like Henry Clay is putting it together at the right time. Have they played Madison Central?
  4. Central has a really good team this year. Nice PG in Jamie Johnson, tremendous shooter in Dominique Chandler, and a playmaking 3 in Stuart Jackson. Throw in some football players as Bibby always adds after the season and they will be a contender in the 7th.
  5. Big Tournament win for Ballard. Ballard is 10-3. All three losses have come to nationally ranked teams. Travis (TX), Cathedral (IN), and Nashville CPA (TN)
  6. Good opportunity for Ballard backcourt (Snider & Holland) to go up against the Harrison Twins. The Twins will be pros in two years. Can't get better competition than that at the high school level.
  7. Here is how I have heard it...... 1) The Travelers have a year left on thier contract so they WILL be in the EYBL this year. 2) The EYBL will not be adding anymore teams. (Meaning Magic kids will have to play with Travelers if they want to play in EYBL) 3) Magic kids are planning to stay and play for Ellis and whatever circuit he is on. It's thier last year, they want to play together, and they want to play for Ellis.
  8. Quentin was not MVP. One of the reporters took a picture of him holding the team trophy and tweeted it. Someone saw it and ran with it saying "Looks like he got MVP", then it started trending. Shane Hall played great in the Championship game, 14 pts, 12 boards, and 9 blocks. Russell had 20, Snider 15, Hatton 11. Trey Grundy also had a big championship game and picked up offers from Samford and Miami (OH) this weekend.
  9. They send out ballots to the coaches and the coaches vote on the top players.
  10. The reasoning is that Russell has multiple high D-1 offers and Snider has already comitted. Coach Myles wants to get the other 16's more exposure and offers since they are heading into their JR seasons.
  11. Russell will be back and will play 17's along with Snider. The rest of the 16's will remain the same with additions of ST X. Rob Shaw and Butler's D'Angelo Hunter.
  12. Actually, Atherton is not as bad this year as usual. They got a nice guard in from Chicago (Mayfield) and a couple of Jr shooters. Still an under .500 record but not the typical 40 point losses in the past years.
  13. I think Scott County and Bullitt East are too high. I would replace them with Madison Central and PRP. Bullitt East isn't the same team after losing their PF for the season. Butler has had some decent wins, but they also have some really bad losses so I would move them down as well.

  15. Tamron had a great tournament, would have been interesting to see what they would have done had Ivey not been suspended.
  16. Zach Moran is having a huge season for Male. May be the leading scorer in the Louisville area.

  18. http://beachballclassic.com/News/tabid/72/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/158/St-Augustine-Holds-Off-Ballard-for-5th-Place.aspx St. Augustine built leads as large as 16 and then had to hold off Ballard for a 63-57 victory and fifth place in the 31st Annual Beach Ball Classic. After falling behind 24-8 and running sprints during a timeout called Head Coach Chris Renner, the Ballard Bruins (8-5; Louisville, KY) began to chop away at the lead using reserves as the starters watched on. Ballard closed the half with an 8-2 run to close the gap to 26-16 at the break. During the opening 16-minute half, Coach Renner used 15 players as he tried to find any combination that would shake his Bruins out of their 20.0 field goal percentage and 10 turnovers. Ballard was not the only team struggling as St. Augustine (20-2; New Orleans, LA) shot just 33.3 percent in the opening half. St. Augustine maintained a 10-point advantage at 53-43 with just 3:35 to play in regulation when the Bruins stormed back with a 11 unanswered points to take their first lead of the game at 54-53 with 2:28 on the clock. After exchanging a basket each and the lead, St. Augustine regained the lead on an old-fashioned three point play by Javion Felix with 1:14 to play to give the Purple Knights a 58-56 lead. St. Augustine used another three point play on a dunk and free throw by Deion Taylor and a pair of free throws by Sydie London to hold on for the win. St. Augustine was led by London's 21 points off of the bench and Craig Victor's 16 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Javon Felix, a signee wit the University of Texas, set the Purple Knights' offense with 11 assists to tie him for the sixth best single game total in BBC history. Quenton Snider paced Ballard and led all scorers with 23 points.
  19. Maybe the lack of size hurts them on the boards, which in turn, hurts them as far as starting a break?
