7th Region All-Tournament Team

Featured Replies

7th Region All-Tournament Team: Nathan Dieudonne, Charles Foster, Troy Saxton (Trinity); Alex Jones, Brock Kiesler (St. Xavier); Kelan Martin (Ballard); Jamie Johnson (Central); Tyrell Corlew (Eastern); Quintez Thompson (Manual); Will Maddox (Seneca); Zach Moran (Male)

How in the world is this thing chosen???!!! I guess just showing up for the tournament gets you a player on the team, and the runner-up automatically gets 2 and the winner automatically gets 3?! This is comical. Ballard has 3 more guys more deserving than half the guys on this list and Trinity probably has 2 more. Does each coach get to place his favorite player on the team? Ballard plays T 10x closer than X, but X has twice as many players on the All-Region team? Can you say QUENTIN SNIDER! Wow.

Yes and yes. All of those kids are deserving. The x kids just as deserving as any afore mentioned You could have picked perhaps 2 more Ballard kids and 1-2 more trinity kids for sure But in reality since everyone knows how it's going to go down.....who cares ?

Yes to all of your questions.

That's exactly how all tournament teams are chosen. If you want more people on the team win games. X did, Ballard didn't. You want to blame someone for excluding Snyder, that would be Mr. Renner.

FWIW the coaches in the 6th and 7th have agreed to this system for years.

I don't know if it varies from Region to Region, but it looked like in the 9th that the Champion got 3, the other 3 teams in the final four got 2 and the 4 teams which lost in the Quarterfinals got one each for a total of 13 players.

Question, is it automatic that a player from the winning team gets the Most Outstanding Player? Has anyone ever seen different?

The 6th and 7th region use this: 3 players for 1st place team, 2 players for 2nd place team, and 1 player for other 6 teams.

Coaches choose their own players.
