Hatcher is going to focus on football and weightlifting only from here on out.

Actually, Eastern lost in sudden death to Logan WV in the championship. Game went into one overtime and they were still tied, so they finished with a sudden death basket. Logan also defeated Eastern's underclass Varsity team in the Final 4 by two as well.

Josh Sewell for Mr. Basketball
3fromdeep replied to Rocks8010's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Who's resume is better than Sewell's right now? No ones. Justice is a close second . After that, I'm going with Watts and Ian Chiles from Ballard. The Scott County and Holmes players will cancel each other out. -
Ballard/George Rogers Clark predictions 2/19
3fromdeep replied to gold sunrise's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I'll go with Ballard's athleticism over GRC's heighth. Give me Ballard by 4 in a dog fight. -
Iroquois coach stays in a zone. Bad defense for a team that is that athletic. They need to go hard nosed man to man.

Chiles is right there with Sewell as the top players in Louisville. Not only does Ian knock down threes, but he gets to the line frequently and won't hesitate to fly high and slam one on your head if your in the way.

Trinity 68 Jeffersontown 60
3fromdeep replied to Trinity alum's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Thomas Jackson jammed his thumb real bad in the game Wednesday night vs Manual. His left hand (shooting hand) was heavily wrapped and it looked like he had trouble handling the ball at times. Trinity controlled the game beginning to end. I'm looking forward to the Ballard/Trinity game in the morning. -
Fern Creek/Manual Predictions 1/5
3fromdeep replied to passtheball's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
A must win for both teams. Fern Creek needs to contain Samsel and keep Big Nic off the boards. Manual needs to keep the ball out of Rutledge's hands and make somebody else take shots. -

Nothing said on a time limit. Jtown has Eastern Tuesday so they will need them for sure. -
Final from Gaslight Merv Turner(I think was his name) knocks down a three at the buzzer. Jtown played without Thomas and Tim Jackson the whole tournament.
-
KOB....1) Trinity 2) Seneca) 3) Eastern Defender of the Station ....1) Jtown 2) Male 3)Fern Creek Ballard and Moore lurking It's gonna be an old fashioned free for all for the 7th region crown.

PERRY CENTRAL 61 LOUISVILLE CENTRAL 47
3fromdeep replied to DoneDirty's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Central is going to have a down year. Tim Patterson probably won't play this season due to a knee injury suffered during the end of football season. There's not a lot of height outside of the Freshman class they brought in. The bright spot is 6-5 Freshman Stuart Jackson who is going to be a big time player before he graduates. He will have help next season when 6-4 8th grader Kelan Martin enrolls next season. Stuart's a slasher, Kelans a banger that step outside and knock down a jumper. Give Central a couple years and they may be back to the Sweet 16. -
Scott 64 Louisville Male 55
3fromdeep replied to What Say You's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
He has 6-7 Freshman Derrick Willis at Male and plays him on JV and Freshman??????????????????????? Dude has skills too. He's not a 6-7 uncoordinated player. He can step out and bury the three as well as he can score underneath. It's the old "Freshman don't play varsity" rule. Give me a break:confused: -

Mr. Basketball Favorites?
3fromdeep replied to Log Mountain Boy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Thomas Jackson is one of the best guards in the state. Now that Aaron Cosby has gone to prep, look for Thomas to put 25+ a game. Morrow will let Thomas run freely like he did with Dominic Tilford when he won Mr. Basketball
