  1. Hatcher is going to focus on football and weightlifting only from here on out.
  2. Actually, Eastern lost in sudden death to Logan WV in the championship. Game went into one overtime and they were still tied, so they finished with a sudden death basket. Logan also defeated Eastern's underclass Varsity team in the Final 4 by two as well.
  3. Who's resume is better than Sewell's right now? No ones. Justice is a close second . After that, I'm going with Watts and Ian Chiles from Ballard. The Scott County and Holmes players will cancel each other out.
  4. I'll go with Ballard's athleticism over GRC's heighth. Give me Ballard by 4 in a dog fight.
  5. Iroquois coach stays in a zone. Bad defense for a team that is that athletic. They need to go hard nosed man to man.
  6. Fern Creek Traditional High School (10 - 13 - 0) 20 25 13 7 2 67 Eastern HS (Louisville) (19 - 7 - 0) 17 13 20 15 6 71 Game Summary T1: Fern Creek (10-13) - Snider 17, Moore 4, Smith 4, Rutledge 10, Robinson 18, Irvin 8, Warren 6. T2: Eastern (19-7) - Taylor 1, Abell 19, Sanford 12, Gaines 14, Thomas 10, Woods 15. 3P: Snider 3, Abell, Thomas 2.
  7. Chiles is right there with Sewell as the top players in Louisville. Not only does Ian knock down threes, but he gets to the line frequently and won't hesitate to fly high and slam one on your head if your in the way.
  8. Eastern is close, but no cigar. C - Kameron Woods 6-5 PF - Lionell Gaines 6-4 SF - Remy Abell 6-2 2G - Arman Marks 6-2 PG - Delquan Thomas 6-1
  9. Gotta Throw Quentin Snider in with the 8th grade group. Fern Creek Traditional High School (9 - 10 - 0) 21 12 15 27 75 Iroquois High School (16 - 5 - 0) 16 18 26 22 82 Game Summary T1: Fern Creek (9-10) - Snider 19, Moore 4, Smith 9, Rutledge 28, Robinson 13, Warren 2. T2: Iroquois (16-5) - Tolliver 11, S. Gibbs 1, Whitlock 19, Jackson 27, D. Gibbs 11, Wade 8, Kemp 1, Anderson 4. 3P: Snider 5, Whitlock 1, Wade 1, Jackson 1.
  10. Prewitt with another nice game. Impressive Freshman season.
  11. Wow, this game should be interesting. I wonder what type of reception Darryl will get from the North Oldham crowd.
  12. Thomas Jackson jammed his thumb real bad in the game Wednesday night vs Manual. His left hand (shooting hand) was heavily wrapped and it looked like he had trouble handling the ball at times. Trinity controlled the game beginning to end. I'm looking forward to the Ballard/Trinity game in the morning.
  13. A must win for both teams. Fern Creek needs to contain Samsel and keep Big Nic off the boards. Manual needs to keep the ball out of Rutledge's hands and make somebody else take shots.
  14. Charles Foster is making huge plays on both ends of the floor as well.
  15. Nothing said on a time limit. Jtown has Eastern Tuesday so they will need them for sure.
  16. Final from Gaslight Merv Turner(I think was his name) knocks down a three at the buzzer. Jtown played without Thomas and Tim Jackson the whole tournament.
  17. KOB....1) Trinity 2) Seneca) 3) Eastern Defender of the Station ....1) Jtown 2) Male 3)Fern Creek Ballard and Moore lurking It's gonna be an old fashioned free for all for the 7th region crown.
  18. Wow! Really? Surprising, congrats to Bullit East, impressive win.
  19. Central is going to have a down year. Tim Patterson probably won't play this season due to a knee injury suffered during the end of football season. There's not a lot of height outside of the Freshman class they brought in. The bright spot is 6-5 Freshman Stuart Jackson who is going to be a big time player before he graduates. He will have help next season when 6-4 8th grader Kelan Martin enrolls next season. Stuart's a slasher, Kelans a banger that step outside and knock down a jumper. Give Central a couple years and they may be back to the Sweet 16.
  20. He has 6-7 Freshman Derrick Willis at Male and plays him on JV and Freshman??????????????????????? Dude has skills too. He's not a 6-7 uncoordinated player. He can step out and bury the three as well as he can score underneath. It's the old "Freshman don't play varsity" rule. Give me a break:confused:
  21. Omar Prewitt - Montgomery County Varsity (Of Course) Darryl Hicks - Shelby County Varsity (1st game tonight) James Quick - Trinity Varsity (No basketball yet, will start WR for Trinity in State Football Championship Saturday) Dave Levitch - North Oldham Varsity (1st game tonight) Quentin Snider - Fern Creek Varsity (1st game tonight) Taeshawn Gibbs - Central Varsity ( Coming off Varsity football, starts basketball tommorrow) Jason Hatcher - Trinity JV (Maybe Varsity, No basketball yet - Varsity Football State Championship) DeMarcus Paige - Trinity JV (No basketball yet - Varsity Football State Championship)
  22. Thomas Jackson is one of the best guards in the state. Now that Aaron Cosby has gone to prep, look for Thomas to put 25+ a game. Morrow will let Thomas run freely like he did with Dominic Tilford when he won Mr. Basketball
