  1. Couldn't agree more. There are multiple teams that could win the 9th and nothing is certain for ANY team IMO.
  2. Definitely Coach Snapp would get my vote. There are games to be played still for sure but what Coach Snapp has done with this done his very young group should certainly be commended.
  3. Congratulations and I know it may take some time but hopefully the future will be brighter for the Bulldogs. Kudos to the players and coaches for hanging in there during the tough times. The 9th region is always better when Holmes is competitive.
  4. Does it really matter? I just stated facts and if Coach Sully was really mad about CCH transfers why in world would he really go back to playing them this year after skipping one year? I know coach Sully directly well enough to know he has never ducked anyone and he does things the right way. The “he said, she said” stuff is typical but pretty funny. Should be a fun district and regional tourney.
  5. Hilarious!! Cooper was a "boycott ringleader?" You know this how about Cooper? Cooper has played CCH every year since it's establishment in 2008, yet they miss 1 year (in the regular season because they still played in the regionals) and all of the sudden the Jags are salty because of transfers. Sorry that ship doesn't sail with this school. CCH has had transfers long before last season so no one at Cooper cares. You can find someone esle to point that finger at because Coach Sully's teams will line up and play no matter the circumstance. No hypocrisy from the Jaguars camp but you are correct, the transfer you mention will be a benefit to the basketball program 😉
  6. Yes. Thus my comment earlier of Cooper looking SIGNIFICANTLY different come tourney time.
  7. Great game and tremendous comeback by the Jags after being down 13 to force OT. CCH found a was to close it out made a ton of FTs down the stretch. One thing for certain there was no quit by the Jags and Cooper will look significantly different come tourney time.
  8. Don’t ever count a Coach Sullivan team!!! They will fight to the end!!
  9. Great accomplishment for Whitney and the Cooper program that has only been in existence for 15 years. I would be curious to know where she is vs. the boys all-time leading scorers. She may lead both before she is done this season if she's not already there. I know Adam Kunkel and Sean McNeil both have to be at the top for the boys.
  10. Taking Newport in this one. I said at the beginning of the season this young team had a chance to be really good and Coach Snap’s team is doing really well.
  11. Nice comeback win for Cooper who looked out of sorts in the first half. Coach Sully is getting the most out of this group since losing Caleb Brooks to injury for the season.
  12. I said before the season started that this team had the potential to be really good and a STRONG contender for the 9th and they are proving just that. The scary part is they are very young and producing.
  13. Lloyd will be very strong this year as well as Cooper who returns 4 of 5 starters. Yamil Rondon is just hard to guard and if Pouncy is ruled eligible I’ll take one of these two teams to represent the 9th in Lexington.
  14. Originally I thought SC would pull away but in the actual case they hung on. If SC scores just before half instead of muffing the snap at the Highlands 1 yard line they probably would have pulled away IMO.
  15. Lol, that’s cute 😊 Actually not the greatest at movies but I did see both teams in person so I got a pretty good look at the “previews”.
  16. Game went exactly as I stated it would. Highlands would keep it close but SC would pull away or hold on for the win. Someone asked if SC had a bruising fullback? Well that was clearly answered as Highlands simply could not stop Fryman from getting 4+ yards a carry. I would love to know how many yards he ended up with. Credit to SC as they passed the ball when nearly everyone thought they’d be running it and defensively they just bent but didn’t break and their front 3 just disrupted any consistent running game by the birds. Congratulations to both teams.
  17. Well said on the strategy point. You cannot simulate what they do with an ordinary scout team. In reference to your quesiton on parking, I would give yourself a minimum of 1.5 hours. Parking is always a nightmare as the nearly all of Ft. Thomas will be there.
  18. It’s ok but not sure how Cooper’s Yamil Rondon doesn’t make any mention whatsoever. His play will speak for itself. Cooper will be a force for with the addition of Pouncy. it will all shake itself out in the end. The 9th will be a very competitive.
  19. To answer your question absolutely. The fullback is a bruiser. The passing game shouldn’t fear anyone because that’s not what they do. Just a very tough offense to find the ball.
  20. Highlands will have difficulty stopping let alone containing the Cardinal offense. Yes it’s a Wing-T offense but what makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT is the players that are not getting the ball carry out their fakes to PERFECTION….FULL SPEED and by the time the ball is found you’ve been gashed. They’ll run the ball 20 plays in a row and you’ll think play 21 will be the same as they run those fakes, lulling you to sleep and then they’ll hit you over the top with a pass. It’s not traditional and no one in NKY runs anything remotely close to it which makes it tough to game plan let alone simulate in preparation. For those who have not seen this run in person you will see how difficult it is to find the ball. Defensively the front 3 are absolute beasts and the secondary plays not to get beat deep so it’s kind of a bend but not break defense, but again, the front 3 cause havoc. I expect Highlands to be competitive but ultimately I see Scott Co. pulling away. Just my opinion after seeing both teams play in person.
  21. You might want to do your homework before making such posts. The Cooper program and it's coaching staff is just fine and clearly headed in the right direction.
  22. EXACTLY! Some people just don't have a clue...
  23. The dead period is good for everyone, players, coaches and families. Most programs begin in January with strength and conditioning then spring ball so that’s nearly 5 months straight. That 3-4 weeks off is like gold for everyone to re-charge not only physically but more important mentally because burnout is real. Everyone needs to get away from everyone, players can work out on their own and the families of not only the players but the coaches can realize that much needed connection time. July will be here before you know it and the energy levels for all will be up because the grind is real and it’s long season.
