Okay about the game. Of course every time somebody predicts a blow out we get the inevitable "well I am glad we still play the games.....or the may be we should just not show up response. Dude made some good observations from the Cov cath scrimmage for Holy Cross and in talking to a few HC sideline people they said the same thing although they added Roenker really was not used much in the scrimmage (no answer as to why). Since I cannot get anybody to tell me exactly how Bellevue's D did against Carroll County this is a tough prediction. Part of me says HC will blow Bellevue out and it would no surprise me if that happened. But Buckler is a very strong back and if Wills can throw then they can maybe hang in for awhile.........even into the fourth quarter. That being said if somebody can give us a good evaluation of the Bellevue D from their scrimmage that would be helpful. No way Carroll County has guys like Roenker and Walker and if Bellevue struggled at all on D that could spell blowout........................ Anybody help with the scouting report??????????????

Not sure how dropping NCC makes a schedule stronger.............................Now getting rid of Bracken County does. Gallatin beat Bellevue last year in the playoffs so not sure how that stregthens the schedule by dropping a team that just beat you. Also.......you add Walton a first year program. Added Holmes...... ok that is a good addition. If you really look at this based on team history you dropped the very best team on your schedule (NCC )and the very worst (Bracken Co). Dropped Paris (equal to Walton) Dropped Gallatin who might not be great but they won the game last year and you added Scott (horrible team but a bigger school). Added Holmes and Holy Cross and neither in NCC range (although HC might be close this year). So the schedule is slightly better. being a bigger school in Scott does not make it a better team than a Gallatin to play................

He will definitely help Bellevue. The overall concern for Bellevue is losing young players to other programs before they get to high school. They have lost a couple kids already who would have been impact players the following year once all the seniors graduated. Instead these kids are moving out of the district. Not the fault of Coach Sanders but in talking to those kids more of an indictment of the school.......................

How did Bellevue do this weekend in their scrimmage?

Not sure about this list. There are other schools that would fit the less than 150 boys 9-12 criteria (Calvary, Heritage, Silver Grove just off the top of my head). These schools might consider starting a program at the 8 man level???????? Who knows!

This has been in issue in both boys and girls basketball......Many reasons over the years have been given (excuses???). Such as not getting out in the state since there are so many teams close to home you can schedule. Refereeing is called differently in the 9th (closer called) than in other regions. Too many good teams in the region that beat each other up all year...... Too many schools in the 9th region (used to have 22 at one time)............ Too many independent school districts..................If you look at each ergion the 9th has the most independent school districts............... Bottom line is that the 9th has two state titles in basketball in boys and none in girls which is a bad record for any region.

Coach M I can say is the best teacher of baseball I have ever been around. Have not bee around Coach K at all. However Coach M spends his offseason coaching summer league players but also works with younger players in the Bluegrass organization. One thing I think most people do not realize is that he works with 11 - 18 year old kids in the winter and I can tell you I have seen what he can do with an 11 year old pitcher this past season. It is phenominal what he teaches them.

Anyway who are the scrimmages against? Dates, times, and locations???????

After talking to the NCC people Bellevue dropped them...................

Interesting to drop NCC and pick up Holy Cross.........................I mean of you are going to play a Catholic school from the 2A division NCC is a much more natural rival. Bracken is bad so that is a good drop.........Didn't Gallatin beat them last year? Holmes is a head scratcher......................Although a much better game than Paris........

Who has been added/dropped from the schedule to make it tougher?

Tom Potter was an icon at Newport Catholic for years as a major contributor to the football program. Hopefully one of our NCC posters can give us a history of his contributions to there program as well as his contributions to Northern Ky. athletics.

Ok before all the sarcastic academic statements keep coming to the front academic programs is what Col. Crazy stated not test scores. Holmes has the best IB program in the state and has several other high academic programs that you will not find at some of the high test score schools. Now I am sure transfers happen for a lot of reasons but......................Holmes does have academic offerings that are at a higher level than some of your "respected high test score schools."

He did a great job year in and year out.........................And always with class!

Campbell has not always had Brossart envy. In fact until Brossart defeated Campbell Co. in 1996 Brossart had NEVER defeated Campbell.

Holmes is in the same conference division as Campbell. They play every year. You have to be invited to the AIT.............You cannot just force yourself upon them. So Scott Co. is a great addition to the schedule.

What is Coach High's background?

Not sure but I can pretty much say it will not be Schreiber.......................... She is talking to a few people she is interested in. One will have a daughter on the team and has extensive coaching experience.

One of the best in the 36th district? Well you have Brannen and Flynn at the top of the charts. Never very impressed with Russell although I think T Diltz does a pretty decent job. Lets let him coach a couple games first...................

It was announced a while ago. Ray Kues in my opinion is a great X and O coach who tends to fall out of favor for whatever reason with administration, players, and parents. Yes the Grove had a very weak schedule last year but they should have had a weak schedule considering the size of the school and it being a new program being re started.

The whole Highlands team as the top 5 players in the district? funny I guess this is a joke?
