  1. Well.....I would assume the juniors that are cut are NOT in the plans to play varsity the following year.
  2. :sssh:Uh isn't Highlands where Coach Duffy was????????????????????
  3. First there are no rules as to who can play JV..............While highly discouraged I have seen the occasional senior play JV in various sports. However..............I agree with several of the posters that if you are a junior on the JV level..............unless it is an unusual circumstance, you probably will not help the varsity the following year.
  4. My point about this last year is that as a 10th region person playing at BOK is not bad but being the preliminary game to the 9th region championship game is not what I would want to become on a yearly basis............... The players in the 10th deserve better than that.
  5. What jobs are even rumored to be open in NKy? I for one have not heard much yet and obviously for people to be talking about him leaving it would have to be a premier position.
  6. The first year that SK Scott Campbell Silver Grove and Brossart were moved I believe was the 1996-97 season.
  7. So are we suggesting each sport should have districts done differently based on competitive nature of the schools for each sport? Look when I talk small schools I am not talking private schools. I am more speaking of the Ludlow Bellevue Silver Grove Beechwood (falls into this category), etc................................. Well...............classifying all major sports would solve these issues of unfair balances in the districts.
  8. I agree that some districts are weaker than others........but you can't say that and then turn around and not classify......................If you want the weaker (normally equates to smaller schools compared to 5 and 6 A football schools) then classify and you will have a more even playing field for all.
  9. Districts are aligned by geography (supposedly)..................Of course over the years you always have the fish out of water (see the 90's with Holmes in with NCC Newport Dayton and Bellevue). Honestly basketball drives the districts at the state level. Baseball and softball have the same districts as basketball. Othe sports have other alignments based on teams not playing those sports (ie (volleyball, soccer, etc)........
  10. Interesting that we now have larger schools complaining about the districts? here is a thought go to classes...........................I am all for 4 classes in every major sport.....but guess what if you want to tell the small schools to get better and compete with the big boys..........then the big boys have to take the districts being done by geography
  11. Give Brossart credit for the win but it has seemed to be a habit that Brossart finds ways to beat Campbell County..........................
  12. 51-34 Calvary with 4 minutes to play
  13. Halftime score is 28-20 Calvary. The Grove led early in the game..........
  14. Dayton had put together a very nice season.......Well coached.
  15. And he is one intense first grader when it comes to basketball.....................
  16. Well all I know is what exposure I have to them was fantastic!!!!!!
  17. Hot Shot you would not believe the difference in roads once you get out of the three counties in the north. So many of these roads lead to........nowhere......or into a different county.......and like LBBC said the turnarounds are the issue. You can get down the road but have no way of turning around. Roads in Pendleton, Robertson, Lewis, and Bracken really cannot be fathomed by those that live in Boone Kenton and Campbell....even in the rural areas of those three counties.
  18. I was really impressed with the Pendleton team. Tough group.....Hey LBB Coach did you see the game against Silver Grove at Pendleton? I know only the three brothers for the Grove scored all the points but it was so cool how the Pendleton fans reacted to brother #3 when he made the free throw. really cool moment and classy Pendleton County reaction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Surprising score.................But going on the hill is never easy for any team.............
  20. LBB coach do you know if the 6th grade Sharp team is the "Pendleton County Middle School Team" that played in the pre season tourney in Silver Grove...............The same players???????
  21. I see the issue with the better athletes leaving................................. Now lets hope this game is as good as some of us think it might be for a week 1 game!!!!!!!!!
  22. I can listen to some of your points but the NCC game is a big game to many in Bellevue and quite frankly makes more sense than playing Holy Cross. Scott has struggled to beat bad 1A schools the past 4 years so in this case "size does not matter" Holmes is a legit upgrade on the schedule and replacing Bracken is an upgrade no matter who you play. But lets not get carried away with making this to be a huge strength change in schedule. You lost the very best team on your schedule who would beat Holmes hands down. Has NCC also been dropped off the basketball schedule?
  23. Um, if you lose to Bracken (I do not care if it is regular season, pre-season, spring game, flag football, or passing league) you are in serious trouble.
  24. Slater does have excellent size and speed and if he is putting it together than he will be an impact player for the Tigers. I do not know much about HC line and linebackers only that they are big up front. This sounds like it might be one of the better games to take in friday night:ylsuper:
  25. :confused:Holy Cross is 2A
