Remember James Hayes early 1990s at Covington Holmes? I understand Jackson is his son. James was more a speed runner than a power guy but could definitely play.

With basketball practices starting up does anyone know whether the KHSAA has made a ruling on this yet? It's a shame that they act a whole lot like the NCAA in their approach to things. The athlete is usually the one that ends up getting hurt.

Conner beat Campbell Co. 4-2 behind Emma Von Lehman's hat trick. She has scored 5 goals in the last 2 games.

This was a scrimmage right? Maybe the Scott coach was working on a few specific things and didn't want to give away any more info than necessary. Just saying not knowing a thing about Scott.

Conner scrimmaged Bourbon Co. last night and beat them 6-1.

It's a little late for that isn't it. The season starts in a couple of weeks.

There are those that would argue that. Some say he isn't the best player on his team.

I think that what's being missed in this whole fiasco of a discussion is that the kid while fast is still only 5'6' and 160 lbs. If someone is saying he is a legitimate FBS recruit they better guess again!

Was told that the Conner girls set new school records in the 4x100m dash and the 4x200m dash. While they couldn't compete with the speedsters to the south they represented their school well.

He probably wouldn't have fallen had he not looked over his shoulder to see where the closest runner was to him. When he did that I think he got out of synch and as you stated his legs gave out.

He actually fell when turning to look back at the 2nd place CovCath runner. He was able to get up but fell twice again before he crossed the finish line in time to finish 2nd. He did stay down a long time but apparently he recovered enough to run the longer event later in which he looked fine.

Conner senior Olivia Panelia won both the long jump and triple jump qualifying for state in those events. She also anchored the Conner girls in the 4x200m that they won and the 4x100m where they finished 2nd to Ryle. Congratulations to these Conner girls as they represent northern Ky next weekend in Lexington.
