  1. So what does all of that have to do with the fact that Mason County places their studnets behind visiting teams benches?
  2. Muddawg I think if you aren't from Mason County then it makes sense. Mason Cnty has apparently had a scam going on that no other team in the state has... and thats placing their students behind the opposing teams benches during regional tournaments. I just hope all the 10th region coaches band together and say enough!
  3. Bingo!!!! Then that is why the Region should be moved to an alternate site. This attitude is aparently prevelant with the tourney director as well. That being the case, don't complain because every other school in the Region doesn't like the way you run things. Your decision so deal with the complaints and consequences when others want it moved.
  4. I'm not a GRC fan... the thread is going on because of the way the 10th Region tournament is ran. If business is taken care of by the Tournament director then a whole lot of these discussions aren't going on. Fix the root issue and not the symptom.
  5. Although it may not seem by my previous posts.... I really have no problem with the Fieldhouse, Montgomery Cnty or BOK.... I agree with what you said and that is the Tournament Director has 100% responsibility for presenting as much of a neutral event as possible. If one team brings more fans then so be it. But to place YOUR students behind the visiting team bench is way across the line. To say this is where OUR fans sit is way across the line. You lose those privledges when you decide to host a neutral event. If that is ridiculous, then I would love to see the visiting teams students placed behind the home teams bench! I have never seen that occur at Mason Cnty. Hmmmmmm wonder why? If Montgomery Cnty.... or anyother host did what Mason has done in the past I would voice my concerns and displeasure. I have witnessed no fewer than 5 seperate Regional tournaments and Mason Cnty is the only location that can't seem to figure it out. Actually, maybe they have and are just playing everyone else for fools for the advantage. I'm just hoping the 10th Region coaches, Administrators or whomever demand these changes.... Then we can sall get back to complaining about the price of parking and the concessions!
  6. If the Fieldhouse is so old and cannot accomodate both teams fans or a regional setting... then it should be moved. Plain and simple. In no instance should opposing students sit behind the opposing teams bench. Why not put one student body on one side and the other student body on the other? The only reason you wouldn't do that is to give yourself an advantage. It's time the 10th Region coaches stop allowing this non-sense to go on. No other Region that I have been to or game allows this. I just find it amazing and almost comical that anyone from Mason county can support this. Don't give me the story of logistics... if they can't figure it out in the mighty fieldhouse then move it or put someone else in charge.
  7.:lol::laugh: You seriously had me laughing out loud! I was there and you are telling the truth!!! How much can you cram in? Anyway, great crowd, long day and great game. Go Eagles!
  8. I believe Daugherty plays every game as well.... 2nd or 3rd option off bench?
  9. I think its great that its at Regents Hall.... that was just a little sarcasm toward how great the Fieldhouse is... you know... its perfect...... if you live in Mason Co. and get home court advantage for every Regional....
  10. No way??? They played 9 agsint Dixie (I would say 8 may have logged a decent number of minutes), 10 played at least a full quarter if no close to half the previous game.... Not sure where you are getting the info from but they do go 9 deep. More importantly, not sure why it all matters. There have been a few games they don't play as many for various reasons.... starters playing well.... matchup issues.... disciplinary issues.... coaches decision... but they do play 9 and have on occassion played a 10th for certain situations.

  12. :isurrender: Can't wait to see how everybody talks about the concessions in the All A at Regents Hall to support how nice the fieldhouse is. Seriously..... why did you revive this thread? Here we go! enjoy the ride.
  13. Scott is much better than their record shows. They have really only been out of two games in there losses and both of those were to Henry Clay. The rest of the games could have gone either way and this team just has not been able to put it together to finish off several of these teams. You had better respect them because they can play! The 3rd biggest loss they have had was to Dixie. The rest of the losses wasn't decided until really the final minute or seconds. With that said, I def. would call this an upset tonight. Dixie has a solid team and was undefeated.
  14. I do too!!! That way you will have to pay $5.00 to park!!! I couldn't imagine how you would feel seeing how the $3.00 has impacted you. On a serious note, I agree that Campbell Cnty Middle school would be a great venue. However, I think someone said there was a conflict and it was'nt available. So you go to the next option. I for one think Regents Hall is a very good facility to hold the event. It's not great to have to pay to park but it is what it is. It is a neutral site, It is a nice facility and the kids will enjoy it. That's what really matters. Its worth the $3.00.
  15. I couldn't agree more. Coach Carr definently made the right moves at the right times tonight. Great game and a great atmosphere! Scott struggled from the free throw line tonight but was still able to hang on for a tough victory. I belive Scott was 10 for 22ish from the line???? Its hard to believe they hung on and won this game with a stat like that. Congratulations to both teams on a great game.
  16. Scott usually plays 9 players and at times 10. Not sure of the minutes they play but it is all dictated by the game and how each player is playing. Seeing Scott tonight and SK on Monday night against Dixie I think Scott has a very good chance of winning their 7th in a row at SK. These are High School kids so sometimes it depends on which team shows up on a given night.
  17. Even better.... Don't go. I for one would rather all the 'adults' the whine and cry during the game to just stay home. The kids enjoy playing in college venues and I personally enjoy watching them in such settings. The same can be said for the regional tournaments. The 10th should be held at BOK center as it presents the best venue and the best 'neutral' site in the area. Mason county fans want it there only because of the home court advantage and to place there students right behind the visting teams bench. Anyone that tries to say the fieldhouse is nicer or more neutral than BOK center then they must be smoking crack. The same for the all A, Brossart is doing a nice job in securing a great location for the all A yet everyone wants to whine. Stop whining and stay home. Let the kids enjoy the experience and atmosphere. Great job Brossart!
  18. Brossart.... Might be one of the worse gyms to watch a game in.
  19. Thank you. I was curious because I thought I remembered them playing at Brossart last year.
  20. Why is this game being played in back to back years at Brossart? Just curious... I like the Eagles in a close one.

  23. I couldn't agree with you more in terms of playing against quality competition at a quality tournament. I think all teams had to elevate their game or they were in for a long evening no matter who you drew. I also enjoyed watching some very very good teams play and have to think this is easily the best Holiday tournament in Kentucky. Sheldon Clark has a very scrappy team and I enjoyed watching them compete in two games I saw them play. The two little guards on the team, I believe #12 and #3. What grade are they in? They were tenacious and played with a lot of confidence at the end of the game.
  24. Anyone that has watched the kid play the last 3 or 4 games will definently put Kellen at the top. He basically can't be guarded one on one or two on one right now. He has proven to be head and shoulders above his competition the last two weeks. I don't think anyone will argue against that if they have seen him play. Kellen has really improved on what I thought was his biggest weakness last year and that was his outside shooting. If you don't cover him tight this year then you may as well write it down. As for Robbie Stenzel, I really can't comment because I have not watched him enough and its tough to compare the times I have watched because Robbie is not asked to do as much. He is a very good player in his own right and may be better than Kellen. I just haven't seen it yet.
