I don't think its the officials job to 'balance' fouls. A foul is a foul regardless of how many. However in no way did the officiating beat Scott. Scott beat themselves when we had 5 point lead and basically stopped being aggressive. The whole momentum changed and complexion of the game. I'm scratching my head as to why the kids that got us there were no longer the ones playing key minutes. When kids are sat down for drives at the rim and wide open 3's then our coaching staff has no confidence in his players. The players pick that up and play that way. Scott apparently wasn't as good as I thought. We seemed to have only 2 options the coaches trust. They aren't efficient options either. When you have 2to new starters in the region tourney then you know your team is in turmoil and that's never good for the teams chemistry or confidence. Its a shame is all. Too much talent sitting there watching a two man game. Next year is not going to be much better because its the same group of kids.

Look like scott quit playing in the fourth quarter. Much credit to mason county for taking away What appears to be our only option. When scott gave the lead up it appeared that all the kids were afraid to shoot. That's a tough loss I'd rather go down swinging Rather than holding the ball. It seems like everytime we have a kid drive to the basket It was outside our offemsive play And they would be pulled. That caught up to us by the end of the game no 1 wanted to shoot. Not going to win a lot by only scoring 7 in the fourth quarter.

Dude you represent sk so poorly. I know it seems cute but you are actually making the school look bad in a lot of peoples eyes. Unfortunately they are starting to stereotype the whole school because of comments like yours. Just show some class if you have success. You know, act like you have been there before..

Congrats to Campbell county. They simply outworked Scott for the first 3 qrtrs. Just when I thought I kids figures it out they come out and play pretty soft. Very disappointing.

Just out of curiosity. Why are the Eagles not receiving any love. They beat teams 3,4 and Pendelton on your list. All on their floor. I realize we played poorly in the middle of the season and really laid an egg against GRC but the kids have looked really solid in the last 9 games. In fact, they have won 8 out of last 10 and should have won 9 but couldn't close a game with a 13 point lead with two minutes to go. They play a difficult schedule so I'm just curious with everyone rankings. Is it because we don't see each team play? Are we subconsciously picking our favorites? I guess I'm just glad we get to lace it up and play. Otherwise we would never stand a chance. I hope everyone ranks Scott last in the region. They really aren't much so make sure you spread the word and tell everyone its cup cake city. LOL.... I'll take a W any way I can get it. Would love to see this program just break thru one time and go to Rupp and the 10th may have a monster on their hands with Coach Carr.

I agree with 'I gotta go to work', I felt Scott could have easily blown this thing open. Highlands didn't face Scott's best effort tonight tonight and I really believe the score could have been much worse for the bluebirds. To Highlands credit, Scott had to battle for the win and nothing came easy. I think there were several factors that contributed; Pouncy taking the hardest non-foul hit I have seen in sometime (sustains concusion, chipped tooth on a drive to the basket and no foul called?) resulting in him missing most of the game, Daugherty on the sideline nursing a bad ankle, Nick Jackson in foul trouble (picking up 4th at end of 3rd qtr), Buckner not having one of his better nights. Felts was the only normal starter that had a decent game but not contributing a lot of points. Scott's bench was huge but you saw a lot of youthful mistakes. Crim is a good player and will be a better player as he gains experience. Pouncy's replacement struggeled with shot selection but did drive the ball hard to the basket. Several Scott players contributed off the bench including Meyers and Jehn. Big minutes from both of them. I guess this shows that Scott battled through a lot of adversity this game and its great to see kids step up when they are needed. Scott is peaking at the right time and when we have our normal starters clicking they can beat anyone we have seen this season.

Can someone explain why CC's PA guy has to have the volume so loud that I can hear him from my house in Independence? He is good, just goes way overboard with the volume that really takes away from his performance. As far as the game goes.... Scott doesn't slow it down. Coach Carr controlled the game and valued each posession because CC was constantly switching defenses. No one in their right mind would just try to fly up the court into a trap. As far as the stars of the game go... I think Coach Carr gets the top award. He had the kids ready and well prepared for CC. Scott had several players really step up and have huge games. These guys can really get it done when they are focused and willing to give an all out effort. I agree with Mr. Pop. Don't count them out.

You and I were at 2 different games. I think it was a 6 point game with 3 minutes??? (not exactly sure maybe 4 minutes in game?) and arguablly Scott's worst played game of the year. I think 13 or 14 un-forced turnovers? Scotts box score shows all players played. SK has 4 maybe 5 kids that did not play. You are right... coach Carr did not stop "Coaching". He never does which is why he is one of the best in the business. I was on the opposite side and all I kept hearing was him telling his players to be aggressive. That's not yelling, that's called coaching. Very little negative comments from what I could hear.

Really great points and I agree with you. I have wondered several times this year why Brossart didn't strengthen their schedule. Especially, if you thought you were going to have a good team. I think this may come back to haunt them in some tough games down the stretch.

I think you are touching a little on the issue. While one of the girls (6th grade)is talented, in no way should they be on the high school team. Not physically, mentally or emotionally ready. I really question Scotts coaches, administration and parents for why this was even allowed. While I have no problem with kids playing up, I think there should be some restraint when kids aren't emotionally ready. Think about it, a 12 year old girl hanging around 17 and 18 year old girls. I've heard from a number of kids that this was not widely appreciated and some girls have even questioned when there was an open tryout to compete for a high school roster. I'm concerned that a very vocal parent pushed his wishes on a coach with little regard what it means to their child or program as a whole. Seems that you have given up a whole lot for.....I dunno.... just doesn't feel right. This is just one mans opinion from a far.

Goldie, you are still not a believer. I thinkI this group will win you over soon. They are going to take their lumps but they have the talent and coaching to be a strong contender in the 10th. This team has a lot of upside and if they really h their potential. Look out!
