  1. He will earn his respect much like Scott's team will this year. Scott as a whole has been overlooked; I believe picked 9th in the 10th Region? I think when its all said and done everyone will know what Scott's team is about this year. Talented and deep. Not one deminsional.
  2. The total adds up but the individual stats are wrong. I'm not sure of the correct stats myself though. It's irrelevant. Big win for the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of individual kids on the team lead them in scoring this year. I think Nick will be the constant at the top. Scott once again went about 10 or 11 deep during the game. Speaks volumes for the depth and talent on this team.
  3. 7 Barbourville 5 Lincoln County over Wayne 3 Hazard 2 Lincoln County 1 Bryan Station TB Barbourville
  4. The stats are still wrong. I don't have the complete stats myself but none of them below add up correctly.
  5. I'm going to be bold and say Scott by 17 if they cut down their unforced errors and their bench comes to play.
  6. Good question red heat. I would like to know as well. I've heard that twenhofel, woodland and camp Ernst has some good teams. I know the woodland 6th and 8th grade girls are really good. Walton Verona also has a pretty good 7th grade team.
  7. If your basketball predictions are like your football predictions then its going to be a looooong year for sk.
  8. Sk may be in for a long season. Their offense is centered around 2 playeers. #24, their point guard sure doesn't like his left hand. Everytime he was forced left he would try to spin back right. Coaches will make them pay if that cann~ot be corrected.
  9. All this time I thought it had to do with talent. I guess that is why trinity is so good. I think they have and 40 SR.s so that has to mean they are the best in the nation! Come on man! Having a big pool to choose from most certainly helps but when they aren't very talented or well coached; ie. SK, then it doesn't matter. Coach Campbell is a great person. I question their play calling but have to agree that until they prove it on the field then its all talk like UK #1 fan
  10. I know its upsetting to lose as bad as you did..... But, trust me! Trinity did call the dogs off. I see them almost every single day and if they didn't call the dogs off it would be a national story today because of such a lopsisded score. SK played against one of the better (if not the best) high school team ever in kentucky. SK just doesn't have the talent to even hang with Trinity's underclassman, period. As a coach, you don't tell kids not to play. The third and fourth teams come in and want to show what they have. The play calling was very very vanilla. I don't think anyone wins by going into the victory formation in the second quarter. I guess that's what your looking for but all we would hear is the arrogance of it. Keep playing, get better. If your fans would stop predicting undefeated seasons (see UK #1 fan posts) and pretending that your something your not, then maybe you could swallow it a little better. Oh yeah, maybe you can get us back next year because UK#1 fan is already predicting payback! LOL...
  11. Man you do drink the cool aide! No way SK keeps it that close.
  12. I couldn't think of a better description of this game. You are right on. Both teams are def. underachieving and I think that goes from coaching to players. It would be nice to see these coaches become better disciplined and to expect the same from their players. Both teams seem to be tearing themselves apart from the inside. A few bad apples can ruin the whole bushell.
  13. This could be a fun group to watch. I suspect they will really get up and down the floor. For this team to succeed they will need a few kids to emerge and all 5 starters will have to be a threat. If that happens, then this team could be real special.
  14. Will SK be missing any players this week? I know they were missing a few last week. If they were hurt are they ready to go?
  15. Scott may surprise this year. A little more talent than most think, a hard working group, unselfish and a great coach that will get the most out of each player. A great recipe for success.
  16. I wouldn't go that far by saying 100's. In fact, I think the honest coaches recruited him as an 'athlete'. The dishonest coaches will recruit him to the position the kid wants, and after a half hearted look, move him to say..... linebacker or some other position. I am not 'in the know' .... just saying... that's probably what has gone down; total speculation on my part.
  17. I'm not even sure SK is a good 1A school. I now understand the watered down schedule; I guess the coaches new they didn't have much so tried to cushion the free fall knowing they lost Lawerence. That kid was a big time winner and carried that program. Coaches gave up way too early, at least try to fight back. Geez..... you are supposed to be a 6A powerhouse you should be able to run thru a 1A school. Can SK's coaches get it done without talent like Simpson and Lawerence?
  18. You may have missed my later post in this thread. First, I am not attacking the charachter of any player or person as I do not personally know them nor would I attack a High school or college kid for that matter. I will however join in the rating of players, pretty much what most of the threads are about. I think that is fair game. I do believe most arguements on this site are from homers. I have watched Scott play many times the past year because I have enjoyed watching their effort. I would watch Mason a lot more but its simply too far of a drive. Can't tell you how many teams I've watched this year but can honestly say I saw in person at least 13 of the final top 20 teams this season. Lucky to get to do that. Over the past few years I have watched Scott and Mason Co. play and have felt that Scotts PG was the better player. I will also say that Mason has clearly had one of the better post players in the Region the past several years. As far as rating players; I said I wasn't at the tryouts but can tell you that my opinion is there were more talented players left off the roster than placed on it. Thus my quote from Coach Cal "I'll take talent over experience anyday". But you did not read me attacking the kids charachter or nature. You sound a lot like Bobby Knight the other day.
  19. Don't get me wrong. I am a Kentucky fan thru and thru and really hope the boys trounce Indiana. I hope for Big Blue Teague is the best. I have seen them both, and would have to agree with the national ratings, Teague is good... real good. Don't expect Teague to score ton's of points as that is not his role on the Indiana team. I will also remind you that everyone thought Brandon Knight wasn't very good after the McDonalds game last year. I think he proved all of his critics wrong with the year he had a UK. Some of these kids already have reached their immediate goal and really try to help teammates and step aside when its an 'all-star' atmosphere. Believe me, Teague is rated high because he is very good.
