The only person in Montgomery County that is wanting Coach Lucas is the Freshman coach at Montgomery County. He is also going around throwing out his support for other people who may or may not apply for the job. If he wants to stay on staff, for his sake I hope the other coaches who do apply don't catch wind of this. Good luck to all. Oh, by the way, I do think Coach Lucas is a great coach, and would make a good coach for anyone.

Just from an outsider, I think the problem is not enough depth, so any injuries can hurt. I would also say the crazy none district schedule doesn't help at all. I believe you have a good staff, it will take time to get things rebuilt. More kids and not so tough a schedule will help.

McPeek did get the job at Letcher, but said no for the assistant principal job at Rowan County. He is suppose to be an assistant coach at Rowan County.

It may,but if Mercer wanted Johnson, they could have offered before Woodford. I'm not crazy about Woodford's hire.

The freshman QB played with the Freshman team at the end of the game. When Shelby Valley passed on them it was thier two's in at DB's. When Boyd had their ones in on D and O they looked pretty good. Talked to the coaches after and they were saying things like, we may have looked good, or o.k., but we still made mistakes. So if this is the case, then I think if they can fix those problems, they may be alright.

I have been told it is Belfry vs. Boyd Co. this season. This came from a coach from one of the schools.

Actually last year was the 3rd game. West won the 2nd game which was at Montgomery County. The 1st game was won by the East, at Fairview and Fairview's Chad Tackett was the Head Coach. So this summer will be the fourth game.

Boyd County I believe is 4A. Maybe wrong, but I dont think them and Ashland are in the same class.

I think Chuke is the only one out of those coaches that he has coached with.

I may be wrong but I just don't see Coach Hart going to the Spread. He has always been an "I" guy. He loves to run the football, and I know you can from the spread, but he loves the "I". Its what he always did at EKU, he would run it a lot there, and I think he will keep doing what he has been doing at Ashland.
