Girls region is at Pulaski County.

Rockcastle County has not played Mercer Co, West Jess, Boyle Co or Southwestern this year. Lincoln Co was their 2nd game of the season when Gentry did not play. They start 5 seniors. This is their best chance. Last year they played Mercer Co closer than many would've thought.

Mercer/Lincoln final.. Mercer Co will likely see no challenge here.

This might be the most competitive region in the state this year. Not a ton of separation in 1-8

So will Young be suspended for the first round of region? Will there be any losers from district that could upset them because of it?

So we could see a Lexington Catholic vs Scott County first round. In addition, now Dunbar is eliminated. Could see this matchup again for the finals, although Scott County has to be the favorite. Congrats to LCA. Those adjustments have paid off

Simply because of the region being at Lincoln, I would have them as the slight favorite with how they have played there. Assuming they get through their first round district matchup..

Will have to disagree there. Like i said, I would prefer to do away with district period and put more emphasis on the regular season. Especially over a blind draw in which you're in no control and on any given year could have two of the top 2-4 teams in region in the same district playing each other because of it.

Completely different IMO. All regional winners have earned their right to State.

I read where Cundiff was 9/10 from 3 point line. Pulaski defense was not good, but, that's what you call shooting the lights out. No matter what team you talk about the 12th region is tough to figure out.

Takes away the meaning of regular season games even more now I would hate the blind draw as a fan, player and coach.

Or perhaps the difference in officiating and how they call the game. Ramey is a big player to not have. South Laurel does have a win over Cov Cath.

Gotcha. I understand that. Pulaski Co will have their hands full to get out of district, region... Just stated that because I don't see the 11/12th as necessarily a dream.

and in both years the 11th region won, they ended up winning the State.

So the 6th vs 7th region was very close to drawing each other first round, just like the girls bracket. 14th vs 15th may be a Perry Central/Johnson Central matchup right? Would people say that the top and bottom are pretty even in terms of overall talent?
